i purchased 2 of these pillow pets for my daughters a few months ago; they have held up very well to multiple washings and are perfect for long car rides and trips to grandma's; i even find myself relaxing on them every once in a while---they are so soft and comfy!!! my girls also own the dolphin and lamb pillow pets which are more visually appealing to me but the unicorns are adorable too and adored by my little princesses; i received the product sooner than originally expected: 4wks vs 12wks...as usual i am extremely pleased with amazon

My daughter got the unicorn one after she lost her 1st tooth a few night ago. The Tooth Fairy left it for her. She adores this pillow pet. She has seen it in the mall a few times but I could not get over how pricey it was, for what it was... a plush pillow..
It is cute, but pricey. So when I saw it at the wholesale club for 15.00, and the large size one, I grabbed it. I thought she would love it. She named it and carries it everywhere. So far, it holds up to my 5 year old and my 14 month old who both play with it. It is cute and cuddly and she can easily fold it up herself. I love that the hook and loop closure has a cover over it when not in use so it will not snag anywhere else. Very soft and looks well made. I also do not know if kids of all ages will like this. I cannot see it being popular to kids over the age of 8. IMO. Shop around and if you are a member of a wholesale club, go there. Yes I also have the official version. :-) I would buy this as a gift for someone else too.

My daughter LOVES it because it's the pillow pet that she's been waiting for! However when it finally came three days after it was expected to arrive (which was then over a week after her birthday party!) It had a big hole in it at the seam so I had to sew it before she could do much playing with it!

The toy arrived before expected and my 5 year old loves it so much. Her 8 year old brother and 11 year old sister want one too. This is a great toy for all ages.

The unicorn pillow pet is adorable & since it is in high demand I understand the price.Since it was for my dd who was recovering from surgery i paid the eXtra $$ to have it shipped, and this store did get it to me in the nick of time.
We just picked up our 2nd pillow pet at a local store for $15- & no shipping :P

This toy my daughter has been after since she first saw the commercials!! She is 7 years old and was thrilled when she saw the unicorn pillow pet. She is very happy with it. It is very soft, just the right size (18"), and it is true, its eyes are buried in its fur. My husband located them with a pair of scissors and it looks perfectly fine now. I would recommend this toy, it serves as a excellent comfort toy.

My three year old daughter selected a pillow pet for her birthday. It seems to be well made and easy to use. The Velcro that attaches across the belly has a cover too so you wont scratch your face.

My four year old saw this on TV and really wanted it. I seems to be exactly how it appears on TV and she is thrilled. She sleeps with it every night and velco's it back in the day. I have not washed it yet, so I am not sure how it will hold up after a washing.
It is very soft.

 False Advertising- Not Machine Washable - Jul 08, 2010

Although my daughter loves her unicorn Pillow Pet and it is indeed very soft and cute, I have a problem with the company's advertising. In the commercial, the company states the pets are machine washable and even shows one being placed in a washing machine. However after receiving the pet, the actual care tag states "surface washable." Based on this, I do not allow my daughter to take it out of the house. I would not have purchased a pillow for a 3-year-old that cannot be washed.

My 6 yr old daughter loves this pillow pet! The large size is a perfect pillow size when it's a pillow and it's great, magical fun when it's a Unicorn - she really enjoys it. I think the quality is good - seems to hold up well.

I bought the Unicorn pillow pet for my 7 year old grandduaghter,she absolutely loves it and carries it with her every where. Super soft and cuddly.

My girls (4 and 3) were brainwashed by the TV commercial and can recite the whole thing. The toys didn't disappoint them. They were smaller than I expected (must have midget kids in the commercial), but my girls carry them around and sleep with them all the time--instant "comfort item" status. They are indeed very soft and feel sturdy, though I've only had them for a month. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

For a 4-year old, this pillow is THE pillow/stuffed animal hybrid of her dreams (apparently)! She chose the unicorn (I would have gotten her the turtle, otherwise.. as an ode to the turtle fence/auto-tune the news #10), and she LOVES it.

Overall, this was a great gift that arrived speedily.

My 3 year old loves this toy, partly because she sees the commercials all the time : ) but it really is very soft and washable. She has the small one and so does not use it as a pillow much but loves it anyway. My teenager has one too and loves it.

My kids both got these pets and absolutley love them. The only down side is the heat factor. After they got these, their regular bed time pillows just wouldn't do. As a result we have frequent wakings with VERY sweaty pillows because of the fur on them. Great as a pet, but not so great as an actual pillow, unless you live in a VERY cold climate!
