Moveable car - easy to build - Big Hit for a young Toy Story Fan! - Jun 30, 2010
My son got this for his 4th birthday and was so excited to build it! He Loves Legos (has all the Pirates and Fire trucks) and also LOVES Toy Story! he is pretty good at building with Legos and only needs some help with instructions but he was able to build this pretty easily with my help... and he's only 4!! (this set is rated for ages 6-12 - I'd say it's fine for ages 4-8).
The best thing about this vehicle is that it has spring-loaded wheels so when you pull back the car on the floor or table, it runs forward by itself! It also comes with a mini figure Buzz and Woody so they can go for a ride ("fast, just like the movie", says my son!)
The parts are very colorful (in the standard Toy Story colors - lime green, purple, blue, white) and there are a lot of small parts, but nothing a preschooler can't handle (not good for the under 3 crowd if they still put things in their mouth though). Once built, it is pretty stable, although the Buzz and rocket tend to fly off if not attached well.
Overall, we rate this set "Really Cool" and at less than $20, a great gift, especially now with all the excitement from the movie.
My grandson loves it! - May 17, 2010
I bought this for a gift for my 8 yr. old grandson and he loves it. It has 2 figures included - Buzz Lightyear and Woody. It has a lot of nice features.

The spring pull back on this car makes it fun to build and play with. The little figures are fun. My 8 year old loves this toy.
Boy loves this - Mar 01, 2010
My 5 year old just loves toy story and worked hard to save his money for this kit. He was not disappointed. Fun to put together. Fun to play with. The Buzz and Woody guys are just sooo cute.
An awesome set! - Feb 27, 2010
I went to goodwill and I saw something Lego. I did not think that it would be Toy Story, yet alone have all the pieces. But as I got close my hopes grew thinking it WAS Toy Story. I picked it up and it was! I wanted to make sure it had ALL the pieces so I opened it and saw that NONE of the bags had been opened! Somebody had pretty much bought it, took it home, opened it, closed it, and took it to goodwill. so now I have a $20 set that I got for $10! It is a pretty cool set! The only bad thing is the eyes pop off alot. But, the motor action is great! It flies! It will go even faster if you have a wood floor!
Great Stuff - Feb 03, 2010
Looks just like the movie - my kid loves these legos, some of the best looking legos I have seen.
Toy Story and Lego! What's not to love? - Jan 19, 2010
While we love Legos in our house, I was disappointed in RC. I had to super glue on Buzz's helmet, the back fin, the body of the car and the front bumper pieces.
It is super cool that it takes off when you pull it back, but if RC goes too fast, it all falls apart... hence the super glue.
Once it was all glued, it worked great and my son (6 years old) loves it!
Great (Slightly Overpriced) LEGO Set - Jan 06, 2010
I bought this set and put it together in about fifteen minutes with my daughter. We were very excited when we got the set, because it comes with both a Woody and a Buzz mini figure, as well as the RC Car. After putting it together, the RC car was surprisingly fast, and also incredibly fragile. The slightest mishandling will cause the car to fall apart. Buzz's visor suffers from the same problem. The RC car is also kind of small.
Overall, this is a neat set, though it seems like it should have been a little cheaper. You are basically paying twenty dollars for two mini figures, since the car is going to fall apart so often, you'll probably just leave it alone. This set is recommended to fans of Toy Story, especially since it is the only way to get both Woody and Buzz in one set.
Legos and Toy Story- What Kid Wouldn't Love It? - Dec 21, 2009
My son received this Lego set as an early Christmas present at a Chirstmas Party, and could not wait to build and play with it. Attractively packaged, this set contains RC Car, and 2 new versions of the little Lego people, one each for Buzz Lightyear (with wings extended) and Sheriff Woody. Coming in at 92 pieces officially with a couple extra just to make sure you wonder if you missed a step somewhere, the instructions were easy enough for my 5-year-old to build everything himself in a little less than half an hour. The car builds up to a decent size, and then a small rocket attaches to Buzz' back so he can grab Woody and fly off to intercept RC Car (like the end in Toy Story 2). My son was really surprised that the car, after being pulled back with a slight pressure on the roof, would then drive off on its own.
This is a sure-fire winner for Lego and Disney. A couple other kids who were at the party also wanted to build/ play with this set, so don't doubt its potential for your home/ Lego collection. With Toy Story 3 coming out in June, this set looks to be a popular new line of Lego sets for several years to come.
