The pillow pet is very soft. My son absolutely loved it. The only problem is that it is not as puffed up as it shows in the picture. My son keeps asking me when it will get bigger like the commercial and the pictures. Other than that it was a great buy.

This pillow pet is a little bit flatter than the giraffe pillow pet I purchased for my son. It is very soft. I purchased this one for my daughter to use in the car on a 10 hr. trip. She also takes it to pre-school with her for naptime. Overall a good buy that I am happy with.

My son wanted a pillow pet for quite some time. I bought the 11 inch Penguin first. It was very, very soft and he liked it but it was too small. Then I bought the 18 inch Dolphin. He Loves It! It is the softest pillow or pet that I have ever seen. He carries it to grandmas, in the car when we go up to our camp. Definately was worth getting.

My daughter wanted a Pillow Pet three days before her birthday after seeing a commercial on TV. After searching high and low in our large city, we finally checked Amazon for the one she wanted - and viola! They had one. With a note to the seller requesting to pay for Next Day Air, the pillow pet arrived in time for her birthday. She carries it everywhere, and sleeps on it at night.

Why is it such a good toy? It has the softest plush fabric I've ever felt on a stuffed toy. Ever. The velcro strap the basically binds your pillow in half (creating the stuffed doll) is made of a very strong hook and loop taper. Best yet, the scratchy hook side is covered by a moveable flap so your children don't scratch themselves on it!

For parents with younger children, this is a great toy, because your *toddlers and up* can sleep on it, and it is machine washable (dry on low or hang outside to dry.

My daughter is already planning the next pillow pet she wants. Our home will be overrun by them soon!

Got this as a gift for my 5 year old. He is delighted with it. Compared to the picture, it is flatter, ie, more "pillow" than "pet," even after using the velcro strap that is supposed to convert it to pet. Incidentally, what we received was not a "Pillow Pet," but rather a brand called "Animallow." I have never seen an actual Pillow Pet to know if there is a substantial difference.

My 8-year-old daughter was begging for this, so we bought it for her (plus the Ladybug one) after some good behavior ;)

It is huge, well, I guess bigger that I thought it would be. When unfolded its about the size of a standard bed pillow. Very soft material, quite plush. I just hope the strap holds up, both the connection to the pillow & the velcro, since the strap takes all the stress when its holding the pillow closed.

Not necessarily cheap, for $10 less it would be a really good value, but at [...] it's slightly overpriced IMO.

My 3-year old son has wanted a pillow pet for months. We finally got him one, and I must say, it's very cute! It's bigger than I thought it would be, and folds into the perfect pillow for him. He uses it to prop himself up while he's looking at books, and takes it to bed with him every night. We've had it for a few weeks now and it's held up very well. The seems are sturdy and we've had no issue with wear, despite it being dragged around by the tail at times. It's a nice, soft, plush dolphin.
The only issue we've had is that in the summer months, sleeping on the dolphin makes my son VERY sweaty due to the type of material that makes up the fur. If he flips it over and sleeps on the "belly" side, it's a little better, but if your child takes this pillow to bed you might want to check on the overheating/sweat level mid-way through the night.

I gave the blue dolphin to my niece for her 6th birthday and she loves it. It is so plush and soft, she carries it around and loves to sleep with it.

My grandson loves this Dolphin Pillow. I had heard Pillow Pet until i was blue in the face. We went on line and he saw this and it was the one. He sleeps with it at night. It is quality made and so soft.
