A classic! - Aug 18, 2010
I bought the LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table because I saw that it has been an award-winner for toy of the year for many years in a row. I have not been disappointed. I got this for my son for his 6-month birthday and he absolutely loves it! I can take the legs off and sit him on the floor with it or he loves standing up at it with a little bit of help. The flashing lights and colors attract him and he loves the different sounds, songs, and features of the toy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something for a 6 month old. It seems at that age they start to get somewhat bored of their old toys and want something they can explore more. I know my sister-in-law has a similar toy and her daughter loves it at 2.
great toy - Aug 15, 2010
The musical table is great. Gave it as a gift for my niece's first birthday and she loves it. One thing to consider is that it slides around on hardwood flooring. We haven't tried it on carpeting yet but since younger kids might put more weight on it, it slides around on the floor. Other than that, this is a great toy and it really does play lots of different melodies and is colorful and exciting for kids.
Love this table - Aug 12, 2010
I like how you can switch modes between learning and music. There are lots of songs so you don't get tired of listening to the same songs over and over. My little girl started playing this when she was maybe around 6 months (hard to remember now). She's now 1 year and likes to cruise along the perimeter. This is one of our favorite toys.
Lead, Arsenic and Bromine! - Aug 11, 2010
I was mildly disappointed that the the audio cuts in an out after a few months of use. I was looking for a solution, when I ran into a report that states this toy contains lead, bromine and arsenic!!! This is terrible in a child's toy, how can this go into production?

My son loves this toy. - Aug 10, 2010
I bought this toy for my son over a month ago when he was just learning to walk and he really loves this! He will be 1 years old in a few days and he constantly pushes this around the house stopping only to push the buttons on it and see all the lights flash. I honestly think that this helped prepare him for walking because it was sturdy enough to handle his weight while he pushed it. At first he couldn't get it to move at all and then a few weeks later, he was zooming through the house with it. I'm not sure if he's going to be playing with it for that much longer but I will say that it served it's purpose because I was looking for something that would help him w/ his walking and this toy did just that.
Favorite toy yet! - Aug 04, 2010
My son received this as a Christmas gift when he was just 5 months old. It has been his favorite toy yet and he is now 13 months. It never bores him, and he always goes back to it. When he first got it we kept the legs off and used as a floor toy, something he wanted to "army crawl" toward. As he learned to pull up we put the legs back on and vioala! A whole new experience.
It has been great watching him concentrate on what the lady voice is saying to him and I can tell he is learning. The music is great, never annoying like some other toys.
The only con I have is the yellow triangle button has never worked. I probably could have exchanged it but it didn't matter, our son loved it just the same. I give it 5 thumb s up.

Great toy! - Jul 31, 2010
I bought this toy as a gift for one year old twins and they LOVE it! The music isn't "plinky" and is easy for an adult to listen to while the kids play. Tons of fun for the kiddos!
Nice musical & educational toy - Jul 30, 2010
I ordered this product using the frustration-free packaging. I will always try to use frustration-free packaging in the future. It made putting this toy together a breeze!! I like how the legs of the toy can be removed so a younger child can use this on the ground. I wish there were more than one page to flip in the book, because my son loves to flip the one page that is there and he gets frustrated sometimes that there aren't more pages to flip. There are two modes to this toy. Music mode, or learning mode. Depending on which page the book is on, determines which mode you are in, which makes it easy for your child to decide whether they want the music or learning mode. There are two downsides to this toy. First the green flap that opens and closes can be taken off by your child. My son is 10 months old and has managed to tear it off a few times already. It isn't too big of a deal, since it easily snaps back on, but it is a little annoying. The bigger downside is for children who are just learning to stand, this toy can be dangerous. The first time my son used it, he used the toy to pull himself up, and it toppled over. As long as your child doesn't put too much pulling weight on it, it won't topple over, you just have to be careful. This isn't a toy I can just let our son play with while I cook or clean. Once he gets more stable on his feet, it will be completely safe, but until then he must be supervised with this toy. Overall though, he loves to play with it and I would def. purchase this again!
Grandson's toy - Jul 28, 2010
We sent this to our daughter's house in Virginia and she said that the baby absolutely loved it. He plays with the toy all the time. I highly recommend the toy.
Nice music! - Jul 27, 2010
This toy was a great buy for my one year old and has great music and different music and tunes. Is wonderful for the kids!
This product contains lead! - Jul 23, 2010
I found out that this product contains lead!!! See this website for details [...]
Even though the amount of lead is probably below the recall level, any amount of lead could be harmful for young children according to pediatricians.
Love the Learn and Groove Table - Jul 22, 2010
My 6 month old daughter really enjoys this. We want her to be bilingual, so the Spanish option is fun. A female voice sings everything, and it plays the entire alphabet song in English and Spanish (gets stuck in your head). It lights up, too. Since she cannot stand yet, I haven't put the legs on. My daughter likes to slide the toy on the carpet to get to different parts; it slides easily. She enjoys it alone, but also loves to explore it with me.
Great all in one toy!! - Jul 21, 2010
I purchased this for my almost 9mo old daughter. She loves the music, lights and sounds. She loves the frog with the banjo and the wheel with the little balls that roll around. This toy will be around for awhile. It will provide her with fun and education for many months to come. Overall I am very happy with this purchase from start to finish. Fast shipping and my daughter loves it!!
entertaining and fun for baby - Jul 19, 2010
I bought this toy for my 6 months old son and he likes it so far. He likes the wheel the most and he's entertained by the sounds and lights whatever button he pushes. My son is not at the age to stand up on his own so I don't know how the legs are fitting. Since he doesn't move around it, it's hard for him to reach the opposite toys. I find it interesting the spanish option too, although I don't use it frequently. The toy is easy to clean (especially with the amount of drool, it comes quite handy). Overall it's a good toy, one that has everything. It's entertaining and keeps occupied a 6-7 months old so far.
My son loves this toy! - Jul 19, 2010
I really thought this would be an annoying toy that my son would not be interested in, but it is just the opposite. He loves being able to stand and play with each feature. He's lurned to turn the page and to manipulate all the other little features. It's really a great item!
Hours of fun - Jul 15, 2010
My son first encountered this toy at a friends house and cried when it was time to go home. He was so enthralled I went home and purchased it. 4 months later he still plays with it. We have it on the learning mode and he loves to repeat (as much as a 9 month old can) was the announcer says. I put the legs on it when he was just learning to stand, and he would make his way around the table to play with each of the activities. It does sing and make instrument sounds, but it isn't so loud that its irritating. I have even been able to watch tv (granted only a 30 min sit-com off the dvr w/o commercials) without interruption because he was so into this toy.
Keeps them occupied! - Jul 09, 2010
This toy is alot of fun for the kids. Keeps them occupied for a while. Perfect for those standing and just starting to walk. They entertain themselves by using the toy while standing.
Didn't Last Two Months! - Jul 05, 2010
Our 9 month old loves this toy, so we want to love it too. Unfortunately, it no longer works after only a month and a half. Looks like we'd have to pay for return/exchange shipping through Amazon or Leapfrog, so we'll have to see if the little guy still likes it without the batteries while we try and seek out a higher quality replacement.
Hours of Fun for Years - Jul 04, 2010
From 6 months to at least 5 years, both of my kids LOVE this toy. It provides a VERY stable support for a baby learning to stand. Older kids love it too. It is a MUST HAVE toy, in my opinion. Also very easy to throw in the car and take with you to a friend or relative's house to keep baby entertained away from home.
great fun already for my 6 month old - Jul 01, 2010
I just received this toy for my 6 month old. I put the legs on since he can stand supported. Already he loves it, hitting all of the buttons and turning the page. The sounds are not too loud or annoying (which is huge for me).
This is great for his motor skills. I feel that he will get a lot of use out of this table.
Fun toy with lots of potential. - Jun 25, 2010
My 9-month-old has enjoyed the table, particularly the little compartment where you can hide snacks. The range of music is much greater than I thought. I think that he will get more out of table once he can walk around it, though. Right now, he gravitates only to the few things reachable on whatever side is facing him as one might expect. If using this without legs on the floor (as we are right now), best to put it against something as it is apt to slide across the floor/carpet.
fun toy - Jun 25, 2010
At first I thought that my husband would like this toy more than our daughter since he was playing with it more than here. I really like how the little storage container says, "open" and "Close" as you open and close the door. It's a fun toy and has great educational value.
Fun toy - Jun 20, 2010
This music table has a variety of activities. It's not our son's favorite toy, but he'll stand and play for a few minutes at a time. Cute songs and features.
Great buy - worth every penny - Jun 16, 2010
This table is very worthwhile for a child b/t approximately 6-12 months and potentially longer. Before they can stand you can leave the legs off and just let the top sit on the floor. after they can stand they love standing at the table and playing with all the various toys. Noise level is good - not too loud to annoy you - but loud enough to keep their attention. Our 9 month old will stand and play at this table for a very long period of time - fully entertained. One issue to be careful with - the table is pretty sturdy for its size - but if they are underneath it and try to pull themselves up - it will tip over. Don't think there is any way to make it more stable without increasing the size - its just ab the right size - not so big it takes up the whole room - but big enough its meaningful to the kid. Not a huge issue - as even if it tips over - not really heavy enough to do real damage - and 99% of the time she can pull herself up without it tipping over - but just something to be aware of.
