    Durability:
    Ease of assembly:
    Educational factor:

The Good: Plenty of interactive sounds and vibrations.

The Challenging: The guns could break if dropped repeatedly.

In a Nutshell: An exhilarating game of laser tag, made especially for your home

The guns are colorful and have a classic Nerf look. View larger.
    Fun Lights, Sounds, and Vibrations
To start the game, simply push the side power/game type switch. Be sure to agree on a strength level with all players before starting, because it cannot be changed once the game begins! The two guns are equipped and ready for battle with a rumble pack vibration that lets you know when you've been hit, a recoil feature that is activated with every fired shot, and a force-field style shield that will protect you from any incoming fire! The shield gives you that extra couple needed moments to aim with precision, and help you hit your target with accuracy.

As a side note: We recommend always holding your gun with both hands since they are heavy and could break if dropped repeatedly.

    Fun For All Ages
The taggers are colorful and outfitted with so many neat sounds, lights, and vibrations, even the adults will be trying to join in on the intense laser battling fun. The shield is such a great addition to the PHOENIX LTX's as well, giving players an extra chance to load up and aim, or get away during a heavy pursuit.

"Nerf" Laser Tag Phoenix LTX - Jul 05, 2010

We already had two sets and wanted to add on for a field of 8 players.

Seems that "Tiger" LT became "Nerf" LT.

Although the packaging is the same, there was no indication that the "Nerf" would NOT include scopes and extension attachments as did the "Tiger".

The new "Nerf" guns were compatible with the old "Tiger" but there was some disappointment
that the "Nerf" were abbreviated designs and cost the same/same package.

    The guns themselves worked well.

     Exercise and FUN - Jun 21, 2010

I have purchased 4 sets of the laser tag system and they are just plain and simple fun.
Players ranging from age 5 to 50 have enjoyed this toys. They seems acurate and reliable. Battery issue are not a bad a some of the earlier post, but they do take 6 aa batteries. If you can get these taggers under $60.00 then pick them up. The price change almost daily, and you can easily get all your money back on EBay.

My boys love this! - Jun 21, 2010

We purchased this for my boys at Christmas. They loved it so much we bought another set so that everyone could have their own when friends come over. They are 10 and 13 and this is one item they both like.

     laser tap guns - May 13, 2010

This toy is a favorite of all, friends of the kids love it too. very durable great gift glad I got it so many hours of fun for the kids

     Lazer gun - Mar 22, 2010

Got this for my 11 yr. old son's birthday. He and his sister have had a lot of fun playing with them, except she puts it behind her back so he can't tag her. Haven't tried it outside yet.

     MW2 for Real - Mar 16, 2010

This is a great toy/outdoor activity for all ages. If you like playing first person shooters on a console system, take a breath of fresh air with these little cannons. I would recommend purchasing 2 sets (4 guns total) and trying both team battles along with Free for All. Be creative and make games. If you aren't very active like my son and I, then you can always find a nice camping spot and shoot away. Don't buy the set for $250 because it comes with a game. Buy this set for around $50. Best fun investment and realistic strategy toy I've ever bought. This means you Rubix cube.Lazertag System 2PK

     Lazertag - Feb 27, 2010

This is a great time for my sons and myself. It's fun and safe, and we get a blast playing in either teams (2 against one) or individually. At this time in Minnesota, we can't wait for summer so we can move it outside and expand our battleground. Great fun!

     Great Entertainment - Feb 24, 2010

We bought these laser guns for my son's 10 year old birthday. It was his favorite present. We bought 4 guns so friends could play and I would highly suggest doing this. The guns are easy to work and provide hours of entertainment. They are a little expensive, but well worth the money!!!

     Fun for all! - Feb 12, 2010

I bought this toy for my 10 year old son's birthday. We have had so much fun playing with it that we ordered another set so 4 can play at once. I would recommend investing in rechargeable batteries as each gun takes 6 AA's and the guns do go through them quickly.

     Great Buy! - Feb 09, 2010

We got this toy for my son for Christmas and he has had SO much fun running around with his friends/brother!!! It can get noisy, but it's worth it! I really like how the sensor is part of the lazer gun itself so you don't have to worry about wearing any extra equipment on your body. My boys have REALLY loved it! :)

My 9 yr old and his friends love these! - Feb 08, 2010

I purchased two 2pks so that my 9yr old son could invite a few of his friends to play and they are having a great time! Even my older boys (16 and 19) will grab one and join in. They take quite a few batteries but they have lasted quite a few games and I have yet to replace them. Great indoors or out...great alternative to taking them to the nearest lazertag place.

     Awesome lasertag game - Feb 08, 2010

My boys and I really enjoy playing these lasertag sets. I bought 2 sets for Christmas through Amazon and we're on our first set of batteries still. All of us get a lot of exercise running around and laugh often while playing. Trying to crouch and run at almost 50 years old is eye opening too. They are very accurate out to 100 yds outside and reliable (if ok at the first use). I found 1 out of each set had a reload switch contact problem that precluded it being able to reload. After removing the screws (it won't completely separate no matter how hard I tried to figure it out), I was able to bend the contacts in the handle a little bit and put the screws back in. Both of the misadjusted guns have been perfect ever since I adjusted the contacts in their handles (grips). BEST gift I've ever gotten or given - high Fun Factor for all!

Good Fun Product, needs extension to go with previous versions - Feb 06, 2010

I think this is a great toy. Now that it has been re-branded, the shotgun adapter has been removed but they are still compatible. Internal rechargeable battery would be a great option as would allowing single player modes to be against team 1 and team 2 (an independent 3rd party person) as sometimes the kids want to play the lone wolf.
All in all, a good toy from our experience.

     Lazer Tag - Feb 06, 2010

I was a little skeptical because of it's low price but boy was I suprised. I got this for my little boy for Christmas and he hasn't put it down yet. He plays all the time and I even play with him. WHAT A BLAST!!!

     Great product! - Feb 06, 2010

Bought this product for my boys, age 6 and 11, as a Christmas present. They have had lots of fun. Durable. Plan to buy 2 more for family.

     great boy fun!! - Feb 05, 2010

My son got this for CHRISTmas and loved it! He played it for hours, actually days with his cousins!! Great product will probably buy a second set so more kiddos can play together.

     Good Value - Feb 04, 2010

My 8 yr old son loves this toy. It's hit the floor a number of times with no damage so I expect durability to be positive.

     Really cool toy! - Feb 04, 2010

My 15 year old son received this for Christmas. He has used it several times and is very happy with it. We actually ordered a second set so multiple friends or siblings can play too. He and his younger brother (age 8) agree that it is "just like the lazer gun at Laser Kingdom". The only negative we can think of is that each lazer "gun" takes 6 AA batteries. However, considering the amount of fun experienced, it seems worth the cost of batteries. May want to invest in rechargeable batteries.

This Lazer Tag system ROCKS!! - Feb 01, 2010

If not for the previous reviews, I never would have believed this lazer tag system would actually work. It's sad that the quality of toys today is such that it is so surprising to find one that is made well and actually does what it says it will. This toy is definitely the exception!! The guns are solid, weighty, and just feel well made in your hands. Best of all they actually work! We bought two sets so you can play teams. For my son's 10th birthday party, I outfitted the basement with blacklights and hung some tarps around with windows cut out for snipers. It was a huge hit with his friends. Best birthday ever.

A lot of fun for kids of all ages! - Feb 01, 2010

The lazer tag guns are a blast for the kids and kids at heart! We have had a blast chasing each other. We did notice in head to head shooting the gold one will get the shots fired first before the blue gun. A great purchase. We can't wait to try them outside where there is more room to run!

     Very fun family toy/game! - Feb 01, 2010

We thoroughly enjoy LazerTag. My 10 year old daughter and 7 year old son play the game and have a blast, indoor and outdoor. I can take 5 minutes and also have a fun experience with my children. Easy to learn how to make the guns work. They are labeled well and then just aim at another gun and shoot. The sound and vibration are good effects.

     Should have bought 2 - Jan 30, 2010

I bought this for my 13 yr old son for christmas. Him and his friends seem to enjoy it, but there are only 2 guns in the package, and i should have bought two.

Fun, but don't work well outside and one of the 4 didn't work properly - Jan 30, 2010

These guns are a ton of fun. We purchased 4 so we could play with our 2 boys. They work very well indoors, but not so well outdoors. I would have given them five stars all the way accross but one of the guns has worked poorly since it was out of the box. Would have returned but it's a pain to return and exchange via amazon. Wish I would have purchased at a regular store, would have exchanged the one that didn't work.

Cool toy for my son (and me) - Jan 30, 2010

I bought the original lazer tag by World of Wonder back in 1986. It was available exclusively by The Sharper Image catalog. The product was definitely ahead of its time. My co-worker also bought it and we used to have a shooting match at our office building on weekends (we were in IT and were working long hours). There was nothing like it at the time and we truly enjoyed it. Fast forward to present day. I found my gun in one of the storage boxes a couple of years ago. Of course it wasn't working anymore, but my son wanted to keep it when he found out what it was. He's gone to the local laser tag place (I think it's called laser quest) several times and wished they were available at a store. I've never seen anything like these on the market for years and told him it's no longer being sold. Lo and behold, I was browsing Amazon's black friday week and this thing showed up on my screen. I read the description and immediately ordered it. They came two days later and my son (13) and I have been having a duel whenever we have a time. I like the fact that you no longer have to wear those dorky sensors with the original unit (it was also easy for people to cover it up with your left hand to cheat). The sensor is built right on the gun so it's also more fair. Each gun takes SIX AA-batteries so you'll need 12 to power both guns. I haven't had to change them yet so at least it doesn't go through batteries (and your wallet) like crazy.

     A lot of fun! - Jan 30, 2010

I bought one set for our Grandson (5) for his home and one for ours. I played with this outside with Grandson, tons of fun. Only thing you have to be careful of the switch that sets the mode for how many are playing... it gets moved when you use 2 hands to shoot and changes the mode so it wont count if you get hit..but well worth the price! I love that it works just as well outside as inside.
