Blokus develops logic and spatial perception while kids learn to be tactical. Players take turns placing pieces on their board, each starting from their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners. The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces. Includes one game board with 400 squares, 84 game pieces in four bright translucent colors, and an instruction guide.

     I love this game - great for families - Jul 17, 2010

This game is so fun for groups of 2-4. It takes strategy, but each game is fairly short and you can stop whenever you'd like. When playing with only 2 people I adapt the board by making the square shorter with pieces from a different color. You will understand if you play the game. I can't get enough of it and my dad, who doesn't like to play games, even enjoys it because it is so quick and easy.

     Blockus=Somewhat Fun - Jul 08, 2010

First of all, i love toilets and blokus. AT my house i have a collection of toilet seats. I have a total of 76 toilet seats; each one is unique in their own way. SOme of them have been sat on by celebrities and kings and queens. Others have poop stains that look like states and countries and continents. I have one that coincendatlly looks like SOuth Africa. Sometimes i even try to mold a state. Blokus is fun and entertaining, like a TOILET!!!!! Yay!!!! I have even molded some blokus pieces on my toilet seats. Blokus is fun to play when you're using the toilet. It is also entertaining to play Blokus with the toilet. This is awesome~!~~!!!!!!!

Great for ALL ages! - Jul 02, 2010

My husband got this for me for my birthday last year, I love puzzles and puzzle games. It turned out to be one the only games every member in my family can (and loves to) play! My 6 year old is like me with puzzles and wins the game pretty much every time. My 4 year old loves the challenge of playing by himself and trying to get all the pieces on the board according to the rules (no same-color straight edges can tough each other). And my 2 year old sits with me and plays putting the pieces on any way she can - works her dexterity and fine motor skills as well as her ability to see how to turn pieces so they fit.

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS GAME! (just make sure you supervise the little ones, the pieces are pretty small)

     3-D Tetris - Jun 28, 2010

This is the third time in two years I've purchased this game. Why so many? The original game was purchased for school. We had extra money to use for educational games, and Blokus jumped out at me, with its brightly colored box. At first, the students weren't that interested (it's not electronic), so the teachers decided to tackle the game. It became an obsession. In short time, students began to edge their way to a corner and take over the game. Again, as much fun as this is to play, it's also a great way to get work from students before they sort out their pieces. Bribe, you wonder? Maybe.

What a fantastic way to think critically, offensively and defensively. Blokus promotes planning and strategy in a fun and playful way. It creates alliances "I won't corner you if you go in another direction." Players (kids especially) learn to handle confrontations when moves are in short order.

Blokus is not a game to gather dust in the back corner of a shelf. It challenges players of all ages and levels. Most surprisingly, the students who I thought would play easily (because of their scholastic abilities) were the ones who had to think hardest. It's a great tool for geometry, spatial relationships, and artistic creations!

     Great game! - May 22, 2010

This is a great game! It's one of my favorites! Sometimes, I even beat my mom! But it's still hard enough to be fun.

     Easter Basket - Apr 24, 2010

Daughter (17) told me that this was the 'funnest game ever'. Played it at youth group. Put one in her Easter basket. I have not played it yet, parents aren't cool enough for it I guess....

We enjoy playing it. - Apr 14, 2010

This game is best if played by 4 people as no more than that can play and if only two play it seems a little odd. With the 4 players though it is a real challenge and is enjoyable to out play the other players.

A must have for your game collection! - Mar 31, 2010

A 7-year old introduced me to this game and I was instantly hooked after being beaten several times by him.

It takes a game or two to figure out and then its good competitive fun.

I've played this with one other player although having four players makes it most challenging.

Great for all ages! - Mar 04, 2010

LOVE THIS GAME. Got it for my 5-year grandson. But my 7-year old granddaughter can't play it enough!!!! We like to play it better with 2 people just because when we play with 3 of us, my 5-year old doesn't quite catch why he can't lay his piece where he wants. Never heard of this game before, but it's a real hit in our house. I'm 59 by the way and my 7-year old beats me!!!! LOVE IT!

Good game for the whole family! - Feb 25, 2010

This is a decent game for the whole family, I play it with the wife and my 2 daughters age 10 and 6. We all enjoy it and it is a good game but I didn't feel it was 5 star worthy, A 5 star game to me is one you can play 4 times in a row without being burnt out or get sick of. Looking for a family game that you can play with all ages then this would be it!

Blokus game- Fun for all! - Feb 17, 2010

We really enjoy playing Blokus. It's a fun game that makes you strategize and think. It's simple though too that almost any age can play it. We recommend this game!

Great Game for All Ages - Feb 15, 2010

Love this game! We have kids 7 and 9 - it's one we can all play. Adults do not have an advantage over children or vice versa. One game takes about 20 min or so.

     Great for toddlers - Feb 12, 2010

My two and three year olds love this game and our whole family plays it together, sometimes for hours.

Great game for everyone! - Feb 11, 2010

I bought this for Christmas. It is a great game. My husband and I can play it with our 8 and 9 year old and we all enjoy it. It is fun for everyone! It is educational. It is now our favorite game!

     Blokus Review - Feb 10, 2010

My family has played with Blokus since we bought it for Christmas. It is a game that all ages can play. Our 6 year old grandson picked up on it right away and his three year old sister plays very well with just a little assistance. It is also a great grownup game as my husband and I play often.

My girls and I loved playing this game - Feb 06, 2010

I purchased this game to play on Christmas Day, my girls and I had great fun playing it. One daughter said it was her favorite game to play.

     Blokus - Feb 06, 2010

I purchased four of these for Christmas presents. They were a welcome and fun gift to share. It seems so simple, yet becomes more demanding than expected. I think that surprise is part of the fun. It's a good game at a good price.

Great mentally stimulating game for all ages! - Feb 05, 2010

This will be short and sweet- this game is really wonderful. Up to four people can play at a time and it can be played with all levels of thought. I love this for the fact that it has created a "strategic thinker" out of my 8 1/2 year old! She can sometimes (though not often) beat me! The game usually takes about 10-20 minutes to play (depending on the level of strategy involved). Great, easy to learn game that the whole family can play together.

     Fun Game - Feb 04, 2010

Played it with a couple teen boys and we all liked it. Very easy to learn and play but good variety in the game itself.

     Fun Family Game - Feb 01, 2010

We first played this game on vacation and then bought it for Christmas. Its fun for the whole family, even our 5 year old knows how to play! Great game! My husband and I play it a lot too.

One of the best games ever - very fun - very accessible - for all ages - Jan 27, 2010

Anyone who likes board games or games in general should enjoy this. Kids 5 and up (maybe even younger) could figure this out and play it and have a great time. As some have mentioned, it isn't for 3 players although there is a way to play it like this. It is best with 2 or 4 people.

We've played this game many times and it is a favorite of everyone. I'd recommend the Blokus Trigon too. I think it is slightly more interesting as a game but the geometric shapes in this version are probably more fun for younger players.

I can't recommend this game enough.

Great game, different every time - Jan 27, 2010

We got this game because we like Tetris and the pieces look like Tetris pieces. The rules are simple and easy to understand.

What I like about this game is people at all different levels can play. There are not many games that adults and children can play together but with this game you can. Once you know the rules you can start developing a strategy to get better.

    This is a 2, 3, or 4 player game.

Some of the playing pieces are small but they do not feel cheap. The game board is durable and I expect it will last a long time. There are plastic storage bins included in the box for storing the pieces. The game is easy to set up and take down.

Great purchase for people of all ages.

     Hours of Fun! - Jan 26, 2010

My friends and I have mastered playing with three people, the person to go first always wins! We now need four players to keep it challenging, but I still highly recommend it!

Fun game that challenges - Jan 24, 2010

This game is educational, fun, and challenging. I bought it for my 8 year old neice and the whole family had fun with it. From age 8 to 50, this game is best played by a group of 4. It only takes about 20 - 30 minutes to complete which is a good time span. Also, the smartest person doesn't necessarily win, which makes it fun for all. As a high school math teacher, I highly recommend it for everyone. I wish I could get them for my classes!

     lots of fun - Jan 18, 2010

i got this game for my sister for christmas...she and i played it first by ourselves. i found it more than fun! it was entertaining. playing with 3 people seemed to be the best as far as comptetiveness. 4 seemed to make it not as fun. however, it was a fast game... easy to pick up, anyone can play.
