Not bad for 1 1/2 y.o. - Jul 12, 2010
I got this for my 16 month old, and he likes it, but it's not a toy that he grabs first... I really think that as he gets a little older, he will love it. My husband or I have to help him swing, as the bat is a little heavy, but he always smiles and giggles after he hits the ball and sends it flying! Some people commented about the toy not being very height-adjustable, but my boy is very tall for his age (34") and he seems fine with it. Right now, he has more fun slinging the balls around the house, so I am rating this on how much I think he'll enjoy it later!
Good Toy - Jun 16, 2010
Good size for my 3 year old and her friends. Everything is light weight good for little swings.
I'm Impressed... - Jun 03, 2010
I bought this set as a last minute add-on gift for my 3-year olds birthday. I knew he would love it, but because the price was so low I was pretty sure we'd end up with a toy that didn't really end up working that well (or fall apart easily). When we took it out of the box, it was of so much better quality than I had expected! The bat and the ball are both heavy and thick, and the T is functional - It even stands up in our uneven grass. Long story short this is a great price for the money. I know we'll have lots of Summertime fun with this toy! The one and only complaint I have is that I wish it came with a baseball glove. That was the first thing my son asked when we were opening the present. I would have been willing to pay a little bit more for this product if it had included one.
Basic, fun toy - May 19, 2010
This is the perfect t-ball set for a toddler. It does not have any easily breakable pieces which is great for a young kid. It's durable & easy to clean.
Great Toy! - Apr 20, 2010
My Son got this for his Birthday, he is 2, he just loves it. He can put the ball on the stand himself, and he loves it when he can hit the ball far. It really helps with eye hand cordination, and balance and aim. He can play with it for hours!
great toy! - Mar 30, 2010
My son loves this! We have a great time hitting the ball (and other things for that matter).
I got it for him when he started picking up anything long and calling it a bat and hitting things with it.
It is a good height for him, and he is right around 3 feet.
Great Intro to T-Ball - Feb 13, 2010
I bought this for my 3-year-old grandson, and had some doubt as to whether or not it would be sturdy enough. First time at bat, he whacked the ball right off the T, and it stayed upright. This was one of his favorite Christmas gifts. The bat was lightweight enough for him to handle easily, and the height was good for an average 3-4 year old. It comes with two balls, but unfortunately, within a week he hit one ball into a sewer and another into a neighbor's fenced yard where it disappeared forever. I don't know if they sell replacement balls, but you will probably need some.
This is an excellent choice for an outdoor toy.
More durable than expected - Feb 09, 2010
I am impressed with the stability and durability of this T-Ball set. So far we have only used it inside but we are looking forward to taking it into the yard in the spring. I expect it will hold up well inside or out. It is just a bit high for my two year old who hits the stand just below the ball more often than the ball iself, but it should be the perfect height for him come summer.
Batter up for t-ball - Jan 30, 2010
My three year-old grandson loves to play t-ball (now that I gave him this set). My son stays out with him to put new balls on the tee. He wears the NY Yankees hat and hoodie that I gave him when he plays. He is really enjoying the game. Yay!!!
Fun for 2 and up - Jan 21, 2010
My 2 year old spends more time hauling this item around the house than actually hitting the ball. I think that he will get more use from this as he gets older.
Little Tikes T-Ball - Jan 17, 2010
This is a good way for little ones to get started learning how to hit a ball and teaches hand-eye coordination. Our grandson, age 3, liked it and played with it, but tired of it quickly. He's more interested in other toys right now. Nice durable toy for a child who is really into baseball.
great T-ball set - Jan 17, 2010
My son loves to hit the ball off the T! But the whole concept of storing the ball here, hanging it like this... doesn't work for us. It stays in the bottom of his closet. But we still love it.
Tball set - Jan 12, 2010
I bought this for my nephew who is a toddler when it gets warm out im sure he will enjoy this toy.
buy for the appropriate age child - Jan 07, 2010
I got this for my 2 yr old grandson, he didn't show too much interest playing it. but his 2 1/2 yr old friend love it. I just hope he'll grow more interest as he gets older.
Durable - Jan 03, 2010
Toy takes a lot of abuse and is very durable. We got this as a birthday gift for my 1 year old son. He liked it but the pieces were always getting lost or he was carrying the bat around whacking other things. Not fun for mom. Was an outdoor toy only.
Great toy. - Dec 28, 2009
My almost 2 year old son got this for Christmas and he LOVES it. It seems like you have to hang the base up to store it so the bat will stay attached, it would have been nice to be able to store it on the floor with the bat connected, but that is a minor complaint. The toy is great.
Great toy for a 2 year old - Nov 24, 2009
I bought this toy on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Of all of the gifts my nephew received, he wouldn't stop playing with this one. This is a great buy for a child from 2 to 4 years old.
Very durable toy t-ball set - Nov 18, 2009
We've owned this t-ball set for a couple of years, and it has held up very well. Although it's all plastic, the bat is thicker and more durable than the "bright orange" ones that are also sold for little kids. The tee itself is very durable as well. The red tee actually screws into the blue base. This is how the height is adjusted as well, so there's not a whole lot of room to grow. I found the tee a bit high for younger kids (~2 years old) of average height.
The balls are also a bit heavier than the cheaper solid balls, which also lends to its durability.
The down sides are that the base isn't all that heavy, and therefore, in grass, it's a bit hard to get it to sit securely. Also, as mentioned, I think it's a bit too tall for littler kids and there's not a whole lot of adjustment for it.
Compared to a "real" t-ball set, this is a good choice for playtime, which is what it's meant for. If you're looking for something for your child to get practice off a real tee, using real t-balls, go for one of the real tees, such as this one [[ASIN:B00167T930 Franklin MLB 3 Position #1957 Black Tee To-Go] , which I also own and prefer for my 6 year old.
Good Product - Aug 22, 2009
Good product. My 1.5 yr old loves it. The bat was a little heavy for a 1.5 year old, but he is nearly 2 now and works fine. The height adjustment is only about 1", so I think he will outgrow it soon, but overall a very nice product. My son says "ball" all the time because he wants to go hit the ball off of it. Warning dads: my son can now hit it a long way and I get to chase it down and retrieve it and place it back on the tee.
Great T-Ball Set - Aug 06, 2009
Bought two of these for my twin grandkids( boy and girl) 2nd birthday, and they both love them and are having much fun with them. The toys are well made and being able to hang them up and out of the way is a big plus. I highly recomend them.
Cute but cheap - Jul 31, 2009
My four-year-old really likes this. However, it's all just plastic... so there's no weight to the balls or the bat. So I can see that she won't be playing with it too long.
T-Ball set is a Homerun! - May 10, 2009
We bought this for my son on his 2nd birthday. He immediately loved it. His 3rd birthday is coming up in July and it's amazing how good he's become at whacking the ball off the tee. He'll definitely be ready to join a T-ball league soon, and this playset definitely gave him the practice. As far as outdoor games, this is definitely a must. Great fun all around.
The set came with the tee, a bat and two white balls. The set is entirely made of plastic. In a year, the set still looks good as new.
Highly recommended.
good toy - Jan 06, 2009
my son loves this. i haven't had it long so hopefully it holds up, but it was a fun christmas present for him. he's two and loves to play baseball, and this allows him to be able to actually hit the ball!
Caution - Nov 20, 2008
Careful when ordering this if it is a present. I paid $9.99 for shipping and handleing and when it arrived at my house, the company just stuck the shipping sticker on the toys box..NO SHIPPING BOX! Sooo..now my girls are one less present this Christmas because when we came home it was at my front door, and they saw it. USE CAUTION!
