Our 18 month old toddler granson thinks all things basketball are cool, even standing in a big kids' court and pretending to throw a ball into a hoop. So when his family was moving many states away, we thought it would be good if his new home had something just for him to make it a special home. He walked in and was very excited. His parents think it the best toy we could have gotten him. It withstands his intense play. He has added action words to his vocabulary not just nouns. With a long winter ahead, it will allow him physical exercise within their home. I recommend this for a grandchild who loves to play, play, play.

Awesome product. My 1 year old son runs around trying to make a basket. He is slightly worse than Shaq from a kids free throw line, but he's getting better! A great product.

I have to agree with another reviewer who called the toy scary good. My two year old son loved it and he does sleep with the ball also. He even wanted to forgo ice cream to play with it.

My only complaint and it is minor is that it was difficult to put the net on.

My son received this toy for his 2nd birthday! He LOVES it! This set is great for many reasons --- and here they are:

1: It is extremely durable and is good for both outdoor and indoor playtime. If it is raining outside we will bring the set inside and the ball is light enough that I don't have to worry about it hitting and breaking something in the house.

2: Outdoors the set is strong enough to withstand the wind which is a plus because other sets often blow over.

3: The colors of the set are vibrant and help educate children on their colors.

4. The height is adjustable which is great. My son is short so we like to lower it down. However, his friend is a little taller. I would say this toy could be around until your child is about 6 or 7.

Overall it is a quality product and I give it 5 stars!!!

 17 month old loves it! - Jul 13, 2010

My 17 month old loves to play all day with this goal. On the first setting it's the perfect height for him to dunk the ball. He is also learning how to step back and shoot from a distance. I also like that he will be able to use it for several years.

The only thing I'm not sure about is how much it bends when he pulls on the rim. It has held up so far and I am hoping it continues to withstand the temper-tantrums of a toddler.

 Great basket ball set for my 2-year old son - Jul 08, 2010

My son received this from his great grandmother for his second birthday 2 weeks ago. It has been played with daily and he loves to throw the perfectly light weight ball (and a scaled down version of a proper, heavier basket ball) through the hoop over and over... we've had to raise it up three times already to make it more challenging for him.

We have not yet weighted the set and it stands up fine at the moment. I imagine the base will need sand adding when my son gets into more rough play with it tho.

I have to say I initially agreed with other reviewers who have been frustrated with the hoop constantly coming off after a few throws... BUT... I called Little Tikes who advised me to lay the set down so that the hoop was sticking up and to then step on the INSIDE of the hoop to snap it into the back plate more firmly... I did this and it made an audible click on both sides and seems instantly more secure. I tossed a few balls in and it shows no sign of coming loose or bending forwards. You might want to try this before writing off this product as flawed... perhaps it's more a flaw in the instructions that don't tell you how to snap it properly into place from the get go! I'll update this review if I change my mind down the line...

I reserve judgement on durability since we've only had it a short time but, I must say, for the amount of money it seems pretty solidly built and looks set to withstand the rigors of normal play from a 1-5 year old.

 Baby to big boy to teen - Jun 26, 2010

Bought this 2nd hand at g sale for my then 2 yr old. He's 15 now, and we've used it by the pool as a pool B Ball hoop for the big kids for the last 7 yrs. It's endured the hot TX sun and a LONG life. Finally succeeded "totalling it" with an unfortunately placed slam dunk shot. We're shopping for another and wouldn't be suprised if the grandkids get it someday!!

Great basketball for toddlers. Adjustable height is very good. Well built and stable enough so that can be used without filling the base with water or sand. And it comes with its own small basketball.

I bought my granddaughter and my grandson (cousins) their own hoop and they both LOVE it. It is durable and will be useful for years to come. They are only 15 months and 18 months, but they use their hoops all the time. Great value.

I bought this basketball goal for my son--16 months at Christmas. He loves it! It does not go as high up as I would have liked for later years, but it works great for now. I knew for the cost that I would have to purchase a bigger one later (6 years old or so). Overall a great purchase.

Purchased 2 of the Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball Sets for our 2 year old grandsons. (live in different cities) 2 nice features are: the adjustable backboard height and the small toddler sized basketball. Tip: buy a couple of x-tra small balls to have on hand. Good for multiple kids playing or if the original ball is misplaced.

We thought our 2 yr old would like it more than he does. We love that it can grow with him since we had to start it on the third level for our tall boy. And very easy to change when his shorter friends want to play with it too. It easly tips over & can become a draging toy if it isn't filled with sand. Overall a fair product. Maybe our son will grow into it.

 Great little hoop for little people - May 03, 2010

We purchased this for our 17 month old and 3 years old. Our youngest is just tall enough to get the ball in but our 3 year old can shoot into it well - and that's at the shortest adjustment. I would definately recommend putting sand or water into the bottom. Even our youngest can tip it over if he really wants to. Otherwise it was relatively easy to put together and I think a good value. They will be able to use it for years to come....and my husband and I enjoy it too!

My little one gets to show off his skills with this set. The hoop falls off some but i am going to hammer it in a little in hope of making it more secure. We were not yet able to get the net to fit properly, it seems too small. i like that it adjusts and that it was easy to keep sturdy with just water in the base.

Love this basketball hoop. I ordered it because it is smaller than many other similar products and the height is low enough for my toddler to use it. He loves dunking balls. The hoop came with the wrong net. I had to call the Little Tikes company directly and they sent out the correct net within a few days.

We really enjoy this basketball set. We gave this to our younger son for his 3rd birthday and he loves it. His older brother enjoys it too and our whole family often plays this game by our pool at night. The only weakness of this toy is that the top part is not very sturdy, but our children know not to try to topple it over. This set is a great way to promote teamwork skills and also an enjoyment of basketball. We also like how the top part can be readjusted according to one's height. This was well worth purchasing.

My grandchildren love this product. I purchased it for my three year old grandson. I also purchased one for my two year old grand daughter, This basketball set has provided hours of fun.. It is very easy to put together. It's also possible to raise the height of the hoop. As the children get taller, the game can be more challenging.

We purchased this toy for my 13 mo old son as a Christmas gift. He LOVES it. Even my 4 yr old daughter likes to play. The easy adjustable height feature is perfect. Even my 4 yr old can adjust the height,,, to make it more challenging. My husband filled the bottom with sand and not once has it leaked, nor the basket tipped over. Pretty durable for the "rough-house" play it receives in my family. Even my husband has fun shooting hoops from across the room. It has become the best "family" centered Christmas gift.

I purchased this basketball set for my 15 month old great grandson. It stays at my home where he comes for visits twice a week. He loves putting the ball in the basket and looks at us to clap for him. He never tires of chasing the ball as it comes out of the hoop and puts it right back in. I feel it was the best purchase I made at Christmas for it not only makes him have so much fun it also brings me joy to see him. This basketball set is sturdy, fun and teaches balance,cognitive thinking and confidence

It is a great toy for little ones and it grows with them. This is the third one that I have purchased. We have five grandchildren and it has been great. No frustration for the littlest ones yet provides a challenge and fun experience for the 4-5 year olds.

I was very disappointed when I received a phone call from my son to say the basketball set I purchased
for my grandson was missing the net and ball...Amazon gave a full refund, but the item was no longer in stock so I did purchase it somewhere else. But it would give little tykes high marks, most all their products I have purchased are high quality.

I have seen quite a few comments about the net falling off. If you read the instructions there is no way the net is going to come off.

My three year old son loves this toy. He plays with it day and night.
