I am very pleased with this purchase. Received it even earlier than the estimated delivery date, and the toy was in perfect condition. Very cute sock monkey, very huggable. I've been wanting to get one of these toys ever since I saw that Kia's 2010 Super Bowl commercial. Funny how it made me want to buy a sock monkey instead of the Kia Sorento, eh? Hahaha!

I picked up four of these (one for each daughter) for this past Christmas. Even though the product description gave dimensions, I was amazed at the actual size of the monkeys when the arrived. For the price I payed I was really expecting something much smaller. I couldn't be happier with the quality, and my kids just love them!

I went searching for this item for my 15 year old daughter. Don't ask me why she wanted one but she did. I searched several sights and saw that there were some selling this item for almost $200 and they weren't half as cute. The sock monkey I purchased was a steal at $17 and it was very well made. Needless to say, my daughter was very happy!

 What happened to MADE IN THE USA - Feb 10, 2010

I ordered this thinking I was getting a made in the USA product. very disappointed to learn it was Made in China, I did return and Amazon was wonderful about that, but it still was disappointing.

I opted for the "make your own sock monkey" Made in the USA.. it was a present and was a lot of fun to give- something I can be proud of since it was made in the USA

This thing is a total ripoff...using keywords like "original" in their listing, this manufacturer leads you to believe you're getting an authentic product. This stuffed monkey is not even made out of a sock, which is kind of the whole POINT of a sock monkey. It's cheap, looks cheap, feels cheap, and is NOT what it says it is. Buyer beware. If you want something that just kind of looks similar to the sock monkeys you remember as a kid, then sure, get this crappy thing. If you want an actual SOCK MONKEY, then buy from someone who sews them, get a kit and make one yourself, or do what I did immediately upon sending this piece of garbage back--buy one from Cracker Barrel's website. The authentic sock monkey I got from CB is a far, far superior product, for the same price as this cheap knock-off.

I bought this sock monkey for my nephew.. he loves monkeys and no child should grow up with out a sock monkey. I also got a karate outfit for this monkey, nephew is in to karate. I know he will love it for xmas.

Got this for my grandson's first birthday based on other reviews of this product. He loves it and we appreciate the fact that this is a safe stuffed animal to use (no pullout eyes, etc.). Really cute.

This toy isn't meant to be educational. Fun is relative to looks, not function. This is a genuine, old-fashioned sock monkey! It is cute and cuddly, and like your favorite jeans, makes you feel good. Like their parents and grandparents before them, your little one can carry it everywhere. Nicer looking than a ragged security blanket, but no less effective!

Schylling Sock MonkeyWe purchased this monkey because it is the same one my chidren played w/ years ago. We bought it for them because my husband had one as well. We call him "GeGe" because that was my husbands name for him. This one we purchased for our grandson. To us it has become a family tradition to have "GeG Monkey". Our Grandson love's him! He is soft & flexable. He is also machine washable, this we learned from our children's experience. We have come to understand that the simple toys are the ones that are loved the most. I hope you will buy "GeGe" for you loved ones as well.

My daughter loved her monkey tremendously, however it has had to be sown in at least 3 areas on the body/arms/hat because of poor quality of workmenship. I am disappointed!

First thing, this is very cute (except I was a little taken back when I looked at it's back side and it's bottom looks like a baboon's, lol! Anyway, I was looking for a little monkey, but this one is about as tall as my 1 year old! Maybe he's a little intimidated, but it's still cute!

The sock monkey has suddenly been revived and children of all ages (including adults) suddenly want to have one. They are very huggable and a reminder of one's childhood. I have recently seen slippers and hats made out of the socks.

I loved this sock monkey! It was so cute but the hat is already falling off and there was a small hole in the seam on the arm that I had to repair. My baby loves it though and the crazy red hat is lots of fun!

monkey george is what my 2 1/2 year old grandson calls this monkey. My son ( his father) has an old one from years ago and he loved it but it was so old and fragile, he can't play with it. I ordered this one and he loves it, so do we. It has nothing sharp and the eyes are safely made so he can't be hurt. I am so glad I bought it here at Amazon. It arrived in plenty of time for christmas. Great site, thank you. Mary D
