     Great product - Aug 21, 2010

Great light. Survived a snowy winter and lots of rain storms over the past two years. Still working well.

Blinky LED Bike Light - Aug 14, 2010

The light is great! It's bright, reliable, and easy to understand. Also great to take off when you don't want to abandon your light.

     Great quality! - Aug 12, 2010

Simply cannot be beaten for [...] bucks.

I keep mine on the seatpost, where it can be easily turned on and off without dismounting. Cargo on my rear rack blocks it from view, however, so in that event I just unclip it from the mount and strap it to my rear reflector with some bands of rubber cut out of an old innertube.

     A must-have for safety- SUPER bright! - Aug 05, 2010

I ordered two for my and my wife's bikes. No instructions were included but it only took a minute to figure out that you need to remove the red cover to put in the 2 INCLUDED AAA batteries. I really like that these run on AAA instead of lithium batteries due to ease and cost of replacement.

Mounting was very simple for our Raleigh & Trek bikes - right on the seat post. My only concern is that after tightening the screws the whole unit is a little wobbly. This shouldn't be an issue since they are situated under and protected by the seats.

I tested the 'steady' and 'blink' functions which worked fine. The lights are amazingly bright so don't look directly at them when you put the batteries in. Visibility is excellent and you could definitely use this during the day. At night you may be mistaken for some sort of emergency vehicle. At any rate - great for safety. I highly recommend.

     Bright Idea - Aug 02, 2010

The LED lights are very bright and either stay on, or can blink. The whole assembly appears to have been well constructed and well designed. It will attach almost anywhere on a bike and the light assembly can be detached. How the light attaches to the bike bracket was not too intuitive, but it seems to hold well. As it is mostly plastic, try and put it in a place where it will not get kicked, or bumped if the bike falls.

Great light! Low price! - Jul 29, 2010

There's brighter lights out there. This is the best for the price though.

     Easy to lose - Jul 28, 2010

This is a great light in general, as it is very bright, easy to mount, and seemingly impervious to heavy rain. The light itself can be detached easily from the mounting bracket through a hook-type system. This is a plus in that it is easy to remove the light when leaving the bike unattended, but it is a huge negative in that if you ever leave the light attached to the bike it is very likely to be stolen, since taking it requires only a simple and discreet hand motion.

The body of the light can also apparently be detached from the hook that hooks into the mounting bracket, which is unfortunate because if it comes loose the light can just fall off. I don't think this would ever be a problem for most people, but I happened to crash my bike with the light on and when I saw the light on the ground, quickly hooked it back on without a second thought, only to discover later that the light had fallen back off leaving me with a bare hook attached to the bracket.

I really liked this light, and the first one lasted me over a year before it was stolen when I left it on my locked bike for a few hours accidentally. Unfortunately, the second one was lost to the woods within two weeks when I crashed, and within a few months the third was lost for no apparent reason - it wasn't left unattended or subjected to rough riding as far as I can recall. It's really frustrating to go through three lights in a season.

So, this may well be the perfect light for you, but you should keep in mind the above facts and consider your riding habits.

Does what it is supposed to do - Jul 19, 2010

Seems well built, very bright light. I've used it about 7-8 hours so far and all is well. As usual, Amazon offered the best pricing...

     Does its job - Jun 17, 2010

It does what it needs to do, it provides safety
Really great product, can be seen for blocks

     Bike Blinky - Jun 09, 2010

Good little light that is extremely bright. Gives good signal for safety to those behind you. Good quality and a great price.

     Great product - May 31, 2010

Very low battery consumption, very bright, two different modes, blinking and constant power. You can clip it to your backpack or even your cloths! or mount it to your bike, very good design. I am very happy with it and I recommend it.

     Great bike taillight - May 29, 2010

This is a very bright light with a simple, user-friendly design.
Easy to install. Very pleased with this product.

     Good so far - May 06, 2010

I've been riding with this on my back pack for the last 2 months and its been good so far. No battery replacements or anything yet.

     Good value - Apr 26, 2010

Excellent little light for the price. Used for light commuter journeys of about 15 minutes.

     Safety - Apr 25, 2010

I purchased this item to use on the rear of my power wheelchair. It is exactly as I expected, and since it runs on AA batteries, it is more economical. It appears to be durable and well-made.

     Versitile product - Mar 19, 2010

Very bright light that can be used in a variety of ways. They are nice because they have a clip that can clip to clothes or the back of bike trailers (we have two on the back of our bike trailer that carries our two girls) without the use of the provided clamp. The three LED's can be seen from a long ways, even in the daytime.

     Bike taillight - Feb 21, 2010

Great visibility and nice to have a light with normal AAA battery replacements, instead of the expensive flat disc batteries.

     Sub-par brightness, not so waterproof - Jan 25, 2010

Worked for about six weeks, after which water got in and caused corrosion which made it non-functional. For a little more money, you can get a much nicer light.

     Excellent Item! - Jan 23, 2010

This Planet Bike Rear Bicycle Light is a terrific product. Definitely worth the money! Great for riding on the road at night. It is extremely bright and can be seen for up to a mile away. Easy setup and install, has a quick release to take off the light and take it with you. Would most definitely recommend!

Pleased with this light - Jan 07, 2010

I bought this light last year when preparing to ride on early summer evenings. This light is very bright and observable at night. It's light weight and was easy to install as you can either clamp it to the seat post, or as I use it, clipped onto the utility bag I have strapped onto the rear underside of the seat that has a nice band to slide the clip on.

I rode the bike for at least an hour after dark 3 or 4 times a week, and the batteries are still good.

    This is a good purchase.

     night lite safety - Dec 28, 2009

Great bright lite for a bike. Easy to install and yet very bright. Has the option of blinking or steady light.

Really good buy for the price paid - Dec 20, 2009

These lights are worth the price you pay. Fitting into a bike seat is extremely easy and the light is visible uptil more than a block in the night. Havent yet used in the rain, however cold weather doesnot affect the system. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a safe bike ride in the dark.

Great value for the money - Dec 19, 2009

For the money, works well, and as others have stated, batteries last long due to the use of LEDS. Small, so you can take it anywhere, and clip to your clothing or back pack when walking, biking or hiking, etc. Wish I could find an inexpensive bike light for the handlebars, so I generally use my Petzl.

Good rear bike lamp - Dec 19, 2009

    Good rear bike lamp
Bright enough to be visible to cars.
Option of having it flash, although I read sometimes drunk drivers head towards flashing lights - don't know if true.
    Easy to attach
