Year old grandson loves it! - Jul 25, 2010

My year old grandson loves the real TV remote, and of course wants to chew on it. His eyes lit up with this Fisher Price remote. The sounds captivate him and the eyelids open and close with the easy press of a button, which makes him smile and be more curious. Keeps his attention!

     Just like daddy's remote - Jul 06, 2010

Baby thinks he has daddy's remote! So cute, love that all characters are talking on this remote. It is adorable and sturdy, our son has been banging it on the tile and it still works great.

Not as good as our adult remotes but it will do - Jun 26, 2010

My son really loves to chew and look at our adult comcast remotes or anything with buttons so I thought I would buy him this remote. At first he just liked the eyes the flip down on the top. There are no flashing lights that light up when you push buttons so that was a bummer for him. Also I think the buttons are not raised enough. He particularly likes our comcast remote which has tons of buttons and they are rougher texture and pop out quite a bit. These have smooth texture and don't pop out that much.

I like that it voices the numbers 1 by 1 on each matching number button...also the channel button goes up and down in numbers also.

He just manually pulls the eyelids down instead of push the button the right. He tries to chew on the remote at the bottom but it's a little too big for his mouth. He would still rather play with our comcast remotes but this will do for a few minutes of much needed distraction.

Leave the TV remote alone!! - Jun 25, 2010

My son loves this remote. I love it because (for a short time) he left my TV remote alone. It has nice sound effects. The only thing it doesn't have is lights. That would be nice. But overall it's great. I like that the volume button actually controls the volume!!

     Silly Remote - Jun 24, 2010

I really like this toy. It's very cute and makes a lot of sounds as well as teaches numbers. I purchased it for my son who is 9 months old, I think that he is still a little young for it. My hope was that he would chew on it rather than our remotes, it has not been as much of a success for this as I had hoped but still a very cute toy.

My daughter like it - Jun 23, 2010

My daughter likes this. Its not her favorite, but she plays with it for a few minutes every day. She really likes the blinking eyes. I like it because I dont have to go searching for my remote anymore.

     Tough and portable - Jun 08, 2010

This is great toy because you can throw it in the diaper bag for a quick distraction. Has an off switch so it isn't constantly singing/talking when its in the bag-and it doesn't waste batteries. Has stood up to repeated drops and throws by now 2 year old. Not sure how much education he gets from it, but certainly amuses and entertains him. Overall, the noises aren't so annoying to adults that you want to pitch it out the window.

     Ok - but couldn't fool our son! - Jun 04, 2010

Our 10-month old had a real passion for the remote - it could quiet him in a heartbeat and he'd work across the floor to get at it. We thought this might do as a stand in - and it's ok, but I think what he likes about the real remote is that when you push a button, lights go on.

This has nice sounds - but no lights. So he sees it as an ok noisemaker (but not for long - he'll play with it for a minute then toss it) - but not as a remote, which is what we were hoping for. Without that "substitute" aspect - I'm not sure what value it is as a toy (a kid will only sit and push a button on a plastic box for so long).

     Silly Sounds Remote - May 29, 2010

This is such a cute toy. I left it on my coffee table so my 12 month-old granddaughter would find it (instead of our remotes) and she seemed very interested at first. She aimed it at the TV and when nothing happened she gave me this look ~ which seem to say "this thing isn't REAL". She does play with it and likes all the buttons and especially the large blinking eyes. Kids seem to be very sophisticated these days; even at one. I'm still glad I bought it.

     Cute and Fun - May 13, 2010

My 7 mo daughter really enjoys this toy. She was obsessed with our remote control so I was thrilled when I found this toy remote that even looks like our real one. She still can't figure out all the buttons so she has lots of time to grow with this item. It is a great price and just so cute!

     A decent distraction - May 09, 2010

I bought this because my daughter kept reaching for our TV remotes. This remote is fun and she loves hitting the buttons. Unfortunately, I wish they chose a better voice than Elmo. He's so shrill you can't make out what he's saying, so it's hard to hear him saying the numbers let alone mimic that.

     ok..saves my remote - May 06, 2010

i got this because my son (8 months old) was obsessed with eating and throwing my cable remote. It occupies him..and he loves elmo. But the toy is a bit thick for his tiny hands to hold well. It's definitely thicker than my cable remote. Very durable though because he constantly throws it around and slams it on the floor, and it still works. It should have a light though when you press the buttons, beacuse that is a part of his fascination with my remote

     Baby Remote Control! - Apr 29, 2010

This is great! I purchased this recently for my almost 8 month old son. He loves to push the buttons and listen to the sounds. It is perfect for when the kids start to dive for the remotes! This completely takes the place of that! All the number buttons have 3 sounds. The volume control is actually the volume control for the remote. I would definitely recommend this product!

     Entertaining and Educational - Apr 26, 2010

I bought this toy for my daughter when she was about 8 months old because she kept trying to take the real TV remote. She loved it from the first time she played with it and it is one of her favorite toys. The blinking eyes at the top make her smile and laugh every time. The remote counts and makes cute little noises and features some Sesame Street character quotes, but one of the best parts is that the Volume buttons on the toy actually control it's volume! So, if your kid loves it but it's driving you crazy, you can turn it down. It's fantastic.

Very disappointed in Sesame Street and Fisher-Price - Apr 09, 2010

I can't believe how crappy this plastic thing looks. My 14mo daughter loves Elmo and likes the remote but I can't get over the fact that not only was the plastic horribly stamped - the one I got was repackaged. The plastic is a rough surface with uneven smoothing. It has damage to its shell that could only have been done by someone who had it out of the package and returned it. Very disappointed in 2 companies I'd hoped to trust.

Keeps her away from my remote. - Apr 06, 2010

While this is a great toy to keep my daughter away from my remote, she doesn't spend long with it. Although she does like it, it's not as entertaining as I would have thought.

easy to hold - even for little hands - Apr 05, 2010

This is a good toy for kids who are always trying to grab your real remote. It makes quite a bit of noise - but not too bad. My twins will play with it for quite a while - great toy for the car.

     cute and entertaining - Mar 29, 2010

My 10-month-old son has loved playing with this since he got it 4 months ago. He had been trying to eat our real remotes, so we bought this for him and it's one of his favorites. I wish something lit up on it (like if the buttons were more translucent and lit up from behind when they are pushed). Otherwise, we love it. The cute little sounds for each number are lots of fun.

Nothing great, just talking remote - Mar 28, 2010

I bought this remote for our 9 months old hoping she would play with it and leave our TV remote and cell phones alone, but as nice as it is with all the talking and all the buttons, she is still running after our remotes. This toy would be best if it had lights! I think most babies at this age attracted to something that lights up and then to the sounds. She plays with it for a couple of minutes and that is it. I will try to take it with us while she sits in the car seat while we're driving, maybe with less distractions and nowhere to run she'll play with it more.

over priced but worth it - Mar 12, 2010

I saw this way cheaper at the stores after I had already purchased it. My daughter does play with it though and she is only 9 months old.

The best remote! (but she still wants mine?) - Mar 08, 2010

This remote is great!! It provides lots of entertainment for my 10 month old. She received it when ahe was about 7 months old. She just loves ALL the different sounds it makes...over 30! All the numbered buttons make 3 different sounds. Plus it has sounds for channel surfing-forward and reverse. It has a volume control-that really works (NICE). Her favorite part is when the eyes blink. I have to push a button to make them blink with the sound effect-and she is still trying to figure that one out. She can pull on the eye lids and make them blink in her own (without sound)-which she enjoys. It is very durable! She has dropped this many times on to the hard ground from a shopping cart-it has never cracked and it still works! But with my baby, you still have to hide the REAL remote-she is still curious about it.
(This product was tagged under "lights"-this toy dosen't have any lights)

     Received a broken toy - Feb 23, 2010

We ordered this toy for my sons birthday. When we order things online we always test the toys before giving to our children. Most things now these days are made in China from my buying experience you get what you paid for. Now of course this time we received a broken silly sounds remote. The toy nevered worked and at first we thought maybe the battries that came with toy just were bad and replaced with fresh ones. That didn't work. So I returned back to amazon for a refund and went to toy-r-us to buy another toy since ordering another one would take to long.

More Than Remotely Entertaining - Feb 22, 2010

My eight month old twins were constantly trying to swipe the remote when I have it near me and I needed a solution to keep them happily distracted from rearranging menu and video input settings. I tried substituting regular toys, but my babies were too smart for that. However, they seemed quite content after I purchased this fun little toy. Okay, so maybe they just needed a new toy to distract them, but whatever the reason, this one worked. And it is cute. Sesame Street is classic and this has educational value beyond simple touch and play explore--the characters alternate making their sounds and saying numbers. (At first I was curious as to how the pattern is set and why it seemed random, but once I figured out that the number were bi-click, I went through and set it up for the numbers to be the next hit for each button. Maybe I've had just as much fun with this thing as they have.) The eyes at the top open and shut with a cute on/off sound each time you press in the side button on the upper right. The volume control actually controls volume--handy for when you want one baby to play quietly when the other one is napping--and the channel button goes through the buttons in the order you set up. I'm very pleased with this purchase and I recommend it. I wish the cost was a little lower than the thirteen dollars I paid, but still a great toy at that price.

If you want to save your TV's remote get this! - Feb 18, 2010

This remote has saved the TV's remote multiple times, the sounds are good and it counts, the only thing is that it should be a little louder. Definitely worth it.

     Nephew loved it! - Feb 11, 2010

I purchased this remote for my little nephew (6 mo. old) at the request of his mother. He was always going after their remotes. He loves the sounds that the buttons make and has fun with it as a toy. As far as adverting attention from the real remotes----he wasn't fooled! He still likes to play with the remote and it's a great toy.
