Wonderful! - Jul 13, 2010
I purchased a Moon in My Room for my nephew for his birthday, and he loves it. I bought a second one and hung it in my home for my other little nieces and nephews when they come to visit, and they all love it. I highly recommend it to anyone with children!
Moon Toy - Jul 06, 2010
Got this for my 1 year old, it works well and is durable. I really like the auto shutoff feature and the remote control. The only downside was some lines when all the lights are on but not a big deal.
Uncle Milton Moon In My Room - Jul 04, 2010
this toy is very easy and fun to use, can be used as a toy or lamp. my toddler loves watching the stars during the night, I like the fact it comes with 3 different colors, my girl loves chanching the colors.
The only cons is batteries run out fast.
2 -4 -2 Moon In My Room - Jun 27, 2010
I bought two for two of my great grandsons and they loved them being
only four and six they really thought they were big and I must say they now want to learn about the moon, stars everything. I was so proud when one called me and said thank you Nana for loving me so much.
This is a not really a toy (my opinon only)
it is a learning product
One to learn about and one to enjoy.

Moon - Jun 18, 2010
Bought this for my twins' space bedroom and have loved turning it on for them every night. I even bought a book that talks about the phases so they know all about it. I read other reviews about how the battery life was horrible but I have had the same batteries in it and haven't changed them in over a month. Great product.
It's beautiful toy ... I love it - Jun 13, 2010
I received this toy before three days. it's beautiful toy,I love it.

Night time favorite - Jun 05, 2010
This has a soothing light. I had my neighbor look at our "moon" and buy this as a night light for their kid. Very entertaining. Kids love watching the real moon and comparing the pahses with this one. Highly recommended. price is good too.
NIce addition to room - Jun 04, 2010
We purchased this for our twin boys' "space" room. It looks great on the wall and goes through the moon phases. I also purchased a book that explained the moon phases so this just adds to the learning. I turn it off every night w/the switch located on it b/c I had read where the battery life wasn't good. However, I have not had to change the batteries yet and we use it every night.
Because of this piece of plastic, my daughter loves science - May 28, 2010
Thats 100% right, and a little push from me. The device works great. Does alot and using duracell batteries it should last a long time.
Could work nicely as a nightlight, but not a really bright one, because you don't want it keeping the kids up. It yeilds just the right amount of light.
Just put a screw in the wall and go. It's simple and the kiddies loved it.
KIds Love the Moon - Parents Hate the remote! - May 07, 2010
A wonderful addition to a kids room. Description is accurate. CD-Rom is a little pointless; it is probably the same recording that was on the cassette that came with the product when it was introduced many years ago.
Auto-off function is a great idea. Being controlled remotely is nice in concept, except kids WILL lose the remote.
Glorified Night Light - Apr 16, 2010
I was really excited to order Moon in my Room for my space loving son. It has been a disappointment to say the least. First of all, it only works with it's remote, which is fine unless you want your child to be able to control it himself and not have to worry that the remote will be lost in the sea of toys that is a 5-year-old's room. And none of us were impressed with the "phases" feature. There isn't a lot of definition, so the light kind of spreads all over the moon, ruining the effect of each "phase." Also, I may be the only crazy one, but from reading the project description I thought that you could program the moon to actually phase through along with the actual moon (so when the moon is a crescent outside, the moon would be a crescent inside). Maybe that was just me not reading closely enough, but if anyone else is thinking that you can program it...you can not. It's just a night light with multiple settings.
Oh, and perhaps the biggest selling point against it is that ours stopped working after a month. (And yes, we've checked and replaced the batteries).
It would be a great product if it cost about a third of what it sells for, but at the suggested price or even Amazon's lower usual selling price, it is a waste of money.
Looks good, but display of light is disappointing - Apr 15, 2010
Uncle Milton's Moon In My Room looks great when you have it on something like a quarter display (I can't remember what the phases are called at the moment), or even when it's off (new moon I suppose). But the problem when you get close to a full moon is that you can see vertical lines where the phases are and it looks unnatural. There will be a natural looking sliver, then an overly bright vertical line stretching across most of the middle part of the moon where the first phase is, and so on for the next phase. When it's full, it looks less like the actual moon and just kind of like a weird light.
moon in my room - Apr 04, 2010
This toy was purchased for my grandson's 5th birthday. At first he didn't know what to do with it. Once it was taken out of the wrapping and explained he took it into the bathroom (only dark room at that time of the day) and saw it lite up. He made sure everyone had a chance to go in and see it work. He loved it. It is in his room and he turns it on every night.
It is not a toy that is played with all the time but more of an educational toy that he learns with and has fun with it.
It was shipped and arrived when promised. Very happy with this purchase.
Marvelous Moon - Mar 25, 2010
We bought the moon to help our soon fall asleep at night. He had been sleeping with his light on since the nightlights weren't bright enough for him. Not only has the moon solved that problem (it turns off automatically after 20-30 minutes), but it comes with a CD full of info about the moon. It's not the most child friendly CD, but our son likes to listen to it and has learned from it as well.
A big hit - Mar 10, 2010
I have a four-year-old who's fascinated by all things related to space, planets, stars, etc. And he loves his new moon. It's sufficiently bright and easy to hang up and use. It cycles through the moon phases and turns itself off after 30 minutes of inactivity. It really does look like the moon. And it took my kid around ten seconds to figure out the remote control, which works from all angles and from across a typical kid's room. It's not a precision optical device but it works fine for what it is. Requires 4 AA and 2 AAA batteries.
uh...amazing! - Mar 02, 2010
I've bought 100 things on amazon, or more. The last time I gave a 5 star was in 1998. my 3 year old talks about this thing daily, and it was one of the best investments I've ever made. Buy this, and you will be so glad you did.
Great for any child interested in the sky - Feb 28, 2010
This Moon works great, it goes through all the phases and sparks discussions on the sky, the moons cycles, etc. My son loves it.
Very cool, even I learned the phases! - Feb 25, 2010
Two girls 3 and 4 love the moon, thought this would be educational and indeed it is! We have all enjoyed it and they were interested in it so much that we now look everyday to check that we have the right phase, and even I have learned the phases. Very cool!
Great for space-crazy kid - Feb 24, 2010
Looks like real moonlight, good for night lite as it turns off on it's own. My boys love the remote and I like the moon up on the wall where they can't touch it.
I'll give you the moon... - Feb 21, 2010
"Thank you for giving me the moon, mommy." That sweet simple comment says it all. I purchased the moon from Amazon in September for my daughter's 4th birthday. I was excited about this product, and let me explain, I have always been a space case. Since I was 7 or 8 I have been fascinated with astronomy. What better way to share this aspect of my geeky nature than to hang a waxing moon in my room.
The initial reaction upon opening the gift was not what my expectations had hoped for. The skates and elbow/knee pad combo was the big hit. But giving it time and knowing that this little science project in a box was better suited for a nightime viewing, I waited.
Just as I had hoped, the bed time ritual was enhanced by the soft glow of a moon phase. The texture of the moon face is spot on and the remote control allows one to progress through the 29 1/2 day moon cycle in just under 5 seconds flat. The moon can hold a phase for about 30 minutes to act as a short term nightlight before it retires for the night.
It's cool to have a moon in your room. It always gives me a thrill to hear that sleepy little voice, nestled deep in the covers, thanking me for the moon.
Looks so real. - Feb 19, 2010
A wonderful educational toy, and my daughter loves it. Would have loved it if it came with an adaptor. Could have been an amazing night light for my kid's room. Am looking forward to have the entire range of toys from this brand.
Moon lit up my room - Feb 12, 2010
I bought this for my girl friend, she is 22, and she loves it more than most gadgets that she has. Really cool and easy to use. It's no wolf shirt, but I would recommend it.
Moon In My Room - Feb 11, 2010
I have nothing negative to review about this product. My son absolutely loved it, it inspired him to do a 4th grade school project on the moon and the solar system. He was so excited from the information learned by the c.d. that came with the moon in my room...he rocked it and got an "A"!!!! I love this item, it's been over a month and my son is still in awe over having a life-like moon in his room! He sets his moon to the actual moon and loves that he can enjoy it until he falls asleep! Great idea!! Great product!! Very educational!!
I love this Moon in My Room - Feb 11, 2010
I'm a grown (almost senior citizen) but kid at heart woman, and I got this for myself. I use it as a night light as I fall asleep. It turns off after 30 minutes. But it is actually a stress reliever for me. I get all comfy, turn on my Moon, and watch it go thru the phases. I fall right to sleep. It's really cool!!!
Love the moon! - Feb 10, 2010
We bought this for our son's 4th birthday and he loves it! He's been fascinated by the moon for a while now and we thought this would be the perfect gift. The moon fits into many areas: night light feature for little ones, hands on/close up version of the moon and educational/learning with the lunar phases and cd. Moon In My Room
