     Good buy. - Jul 12, 2010

My daughter sings the abc's along with it. I can think of anything bad to say about besides it feels like it should have been a little cheaper do to it's simplicity. But it's really cool and I've had it for almost a year. A lot of letters have been lost, but there is still enough letters to have some fun.

     poor sound quality - Jul 09, 2010

Good toy for teaching the alphabet, but the sound quality is poor. For example "A" sounds like "eh." My friend's 2 year old specifically mispronounces certain letters to sound like the voices on this toy.

     Love this toy! - Jun 28, 2010

I bought this toy for my 17 month old. It keeps her busy while I cook dinner and clean up the kitchen. She now sings and dances to the songs. I bought it because my friend had one for her kids and my dd loved to go in her kitchen and play with it the entire time we would be over for a visit!! It is definitely a must have! At the time Amazon had the cheapest price as well!!

     good toy - May 21, 2010

my 20 month old likes this toy. he's been playing with it everyday since we opened it last week. i bought it for him because he's totally into letters and numbers, and figured it'd be good for his motor skills too. sometimes he has trouble getting the piece in but he's actually pretty good at it and getting better. the voice on the toy is a young boy's, and it's cute how the singing is kind of imperfect, like an actual child's. there isn't much variety with the songs it plays, but that's ok. i like the magnet letters because the magnet is not exposed like with cheap magnets you would buy. and though of course we could, we don't even play it on the fridge, i just have it all in a plastic container that we can open and play in the living room. glad i bought it!

The best magnet alphabet set! - Apr 19, 2010

The leapfrog set is so sturdy and durable. My 19 month old loves the fridge magnets, they are easy for her to hold. She just can't get enough of them. She can even put the letters in the sun player herself and it repeats the letter to her.

     Alphabet Fun - Apr 14, 2010

Because of LeapFrog Fridge Phonics, after only 1 week, my 2 year old grandson can identify 5 of his favorite letters in the alphabet. He plays with the letters in the morning while I'm preparing breakfast. Highly recommended.

     Educational fun! - Apr 13, 2010

This toy is great while I am trying to do something in the kitchen like prepare meals. It keeps him busy while waiting. He is also learning his letters and the sounds quickly.Even sing them while playing. Great toy!

My son loves this one! - Apr 02, 2010

My son rec'vd this item for Christmas (he was 18mo old) after playing with it at his cousin's house. He still plays with it any time he comes into the kitchen. He is just 22 months old now and doesn't really understand letters yet but I think this is a great way to get him started. His favorite game right now is whipping them all off of the fridge and then putting them back on :) Definitely recomend this. I'd give it as a gift and would re-buy if ours broke. Once we learn letters, I plan to upgrade to the one that does 3 letter words!

     Perfect Gift!! - Mar 16, 2010

I got this for one of my daughters 2 year old gifts and she loves it...the little song that plays for each letter is very very cute!! It also plays the alphabet song....Oh and she threw the whole thing down on the tile floor, really hard and still works like a charm!!

Excellent learning tool and fun! - Mar 03, 2010

I bought this for my 4 year old who is a little behind in his age targets and is just learning his ABCs. He loves putting the letters in and hearing the song and sings along to the ABC song when you push the button. We play a game where I ask him to find a specific letter, he runs to find it, and then we listen to the song. A good way to saturate the house with ABCs.

     It's Not Just for Children - Feb 26, 2010

Over the years I have purchased one of these for each of my 4 grandchildren. During a recent conversation with a fellow work collegue who is a college grad student from China, she expressed her frustration with her inability to pronounce many English words correctly. I thought if it could help my grandchildren, it would be a great tool to help her. I was right, SHE LOVES IT!

     Awesome! - Feb 26, 2010

Great product for our 17-month-old who loves to hear the alphabet song (over and over and over - ugh)... and who is just starting recognize/say some letters! Very durable as she drops the letters all the time.

Great Learning Tool; but Do Monitor the Letter Sounds - Feb 21, 2010

I bought this toy for eight dollars w/free shipping (had over $25 of Christmas items purchased) back in December. I wanted our 2 year old to have a learning type toy in the kitchen to play with while I cooked. She has had little to no interest in letter recognition/etc...have tried books, songs, videos--nothing sparked a willingess to focus on the ABC's.

We have had so much success w/this product in just two months. She knows all her letters by sight, recognizes many sounds and can select the right starting letter if I give her a word, and will whisper sing through much of the ABC song that the toy plays.

This product also allows the kids to work on the few colors involved w/the toy, and categorizing the letters by color.

I have not had the problems w/the wrong sounds coming out of the toy to the level that many seem to have had. I did notice that "Z" will 9/10 times say the "W" sound. I just correct it for our daughter by singing loud over the toy and giving her words that start with "Z". (The packaging was gone by the time we discovered this issue...so we deal w/it.)

Overall, I am very pleased w/the toy and it's a great learning tool for our 2 year old. If the sound issues were corrected, it would be a top-rated toy for us.

Magnetic Alphabet set from LeapFrog - Feb 11, 2010

very educational when learning the alphabet. our 3 yr old sits at the fridge playing with it and singing the song it plays.

Pefect, fun learning toy - Feb 06, 2010

We got this LeapFrog Fridge Phonics set for our almost two year old son for Christmas. Here it is not even two month later and he can already recite a lot of the letters! I was SOOO amazed how well he is doing with it since I feel he is a little behind on his speach (his dr. says he isn't) Anyway I would HIGHLY recommend this for any young child.

     Good fun but.... - Jan 30, 2010

I got this for my 2 yr old niece for Christmas, she loves it. The audio is quite clear and it is great that you can adjust the volume. My only wish is that you could disable the ABC song button; that is her favorite button to push and it drives her parents nutts...although she does now know this song!

     Great, Educational Toy! - Jan 27, 2010

My 23 month old has adored this toy since we bought it for him nearly a year ago. Though we have never made a point of teaching him his letters, he knows most of the letters of the alphabet and the alphabet song and enjoys singing the song and pointing out the letters he knows wherever he sees them. I've started buying this toy for friends and would definitely recommend it to others.

     excellent educational toy - Jan 23, 2010

The toy's price is very reasonable. It will last a long time and the educational value is most valuable.

     Keeps him entertained! - Jan 21, 2010

My son loves this. I have it on my dishwasher. He loves walking by there and playing with it. He takes one out and puts a new one in. It's great. He is almost 3. Honestly he is talking more and learning his letters better by using this. It is awesome 2 thumbs up!!

     Very Cute! - Jan 21, 2010

My daughter got this for Christmas at 18-months-old. It was a hit for sure! She loves to play the song on it and dance. She hasn't explored the letter sounds as much as I'd like yet, but I wager that it will come in time. She's still young and she just likes to have fun. :)

     Very Good Purchase - Jan 17, 2010

This is a wonderful toy for children with learning disabilities or delayed speech. I would highly recommend it.

     very happy - Jan 08, 2010

My 2 year old really likes this toy.I like it b/c when im trying to cook or do dishes in the kitchen instead of trying to get my attention she will start to play with this toy.

All they want to push is the alphabet song button. - Jan 07, 2010

I have twin 20 month olds and I am frusterated that this toy has the alphabet song button and that's all my girls want to push. They don't care to put the letters in and learn them, or their sounds, they just know that button plays a fun song and they do it over and over. The leapfrog caterpillar was the same way, the string on it played the alphabet song and they only pulled that string and never wanted to do the other features and learn colors or letters. I even cut the string to encourage them to play with the other buttons, but they never liked that toy at all. I don't know why Leapfrog insists on putting the alphabet song on their products, when they are meant to be educational. Don't they know that children will find they like pushing that alphabet button, therefor never learning what the toy was intended for? I may have to remove the button so they learn the sounds letters make. I can sing the alphabet song to them, I didn't need this toy for that. I hope as the newness of the song button wears off, they will want to do the letters and find out what they sound like, but now that does not intrest them at all, b/c of the alphabet song button.

Great if your kid loves magnets, don't expect it to replace your private time - Dec 28, 2009

My 2 yr old loves playing with magnets on the fridge as it is, so this product was a no brainer for me. When you insert a letter, it states the letter, then follows up with the pronunciation of it. I'm just glad it keeps him busy and if he recognizes several letters from it, even better. I don't expect any toy to replace the teachings derived from personal time with my child.

Educational and great fun for kids in the kitchen - Dec 20, 2009

My nephew loves this toy and so does my sister (who appreciates having her son entertained and in her line of sight when she is cooking in the kitchen). My nephew repeats the letters of the alphabet and loves hearing the ABC song. He plays with this toy at least once a day when he passes the kitchen refrigerator.
