     A great game - Jul 29, 2010

I bought it for my six year old grandson who loved it & we loved playing with him as well. A game for the entire family.

     Addicting family game - Jul 25, 2010

Great game for families or friends. Typical game lasts 30-60 minutes. Very thought-provoking, yet relatively simple. After your first time playing, you'll become addicted! My husband and I enjoy playing it after our son goes to sleep at night.

Definitely worth adding to your game closet!

     Qwirkle - Jul 23, 2010

We first played this with friends outdoors at the pool (no need to worry about wind or getting wet) and could not wait to get it. My husband and I play several times a week and there is much more strategy than you first think. Great game for various ages. It is very easy to take along because pieces come in a bag.

great game for all ages - Jul 02, 2010

Qwirkle is a great game for all ages. If you can follow colors and patterns then this game is great play for all.

Great game for all ages - Jun 14, 2010

This is a great game for all ages. We even played it with 6, then 8 people with no problem. It is like a cross between Scrabble and dominoes. The only complaint is that the red and orange tiles are rather hard to differentiate. After playing it with my sisters and brother (all retired) they all bought sets for their children and grandchildren. Qwirkle Board Game

     Love this game.A+ - Jun 06, 2010

My daughter brought this game down to us from Ohio. We live in SC and we played this game for two days. We love it! They bought one for my granddaughters too. They had a ball playing it. I recommend this game highly. Thanks for a great product for a change.

     Fabulous Board Game - Jun 05, 2010

This is a fabulous board game. My 7 year old grandchildren understood its concept quickly and can even beat the adults and the whole family is kept interested. Strategy involved and educational. Sure beats chutes and ladders, et al. We actually look forward to playing. The pieces are colorful and large enough to make it interesting. A bit pricey but strongly recommend the purchase.

     Very engaging - May 10, 2010

There is a good reason Qwirkle won the MENSA award for board games. It is a simple game to learn--TIC TAC TOE on steroids--but very engaging and somewhat addictive. Children can play it easily, and it would help younger children with shape and colour recogniton and space relations. It is a strategy game that involves a bit of luck and also teamwork when played with four or more players.

Qwirkle requires a fair amount of surface area on a table. You may think of it as a combination of TIC TAC TOE, [wordless] Scrabble and Dominoes in nature. You may also want to make sure you play it in sufficient light, as the red and orange tiles can be difficult to distinguish in poor light. Players who are colour blind may find Qwirkle difficult to play.

The game is simply but well made of painted wooden tiles that should last a lifetime. I highly recommend it as a very enjoyable and challenging game for both young and adult players. It is refreshing to play a game that involves no electronics, timers or dice.

     great cross-generational game - May 07, 2010

I played this with my 10-year old nephew and my 60-something parents. We all loved it. So I ran out to buy it for my 30-something friends.
    Great all around game.

Qwirkle Is For Everyone! - Apr 27, 2010

Everyone in the family loves this game. It's not so difficult that the youngest can't figure it out . . . and it's a challenge for us old grandma types as well. I love playing with my ten-year-old grandson who holds him game piece over his head and smiles and says, "What's the name of this game, Grandma?", and then puts his piece in its place to make a Qwirkle! The adults enjoy playing without the kids as well.Qwirkle Board Game

     Entertaining enough - Apr 26, 2010

We got this for my son's 9th Birthday. He has really enjoyed playing it with me. But, when you're the one keeping score, it can be tedious. Like when we are playing, it's just two of us, and I feel like I'm writing and adding all the time. So... we stopped keeping score and it made it more fun :)

Qwite the awsome game. - Apr 09, 2010

A great game--Easy to learn and play, while being fun and challenging for all ages. We have enjoyed playing it with my 5-year old nephew (after which I wanted my own set!), and with our grown-up friends. The sturdy wooden pieces and bright colors are a joy to handle in themselves, and should last for years!

Often we choose word games for ourselves, but this one will be great for our non-native English speaking friends, because you can play without knowing English well.

You could use it for all kinds of educational purposes, too; from the obvious developing matching skills to language education for colors, shapes, and numbers (how many do you see...).

     Dominos on steroids - Apr 07, 2010

Qwirkle is a great game of many levels. The youngest can play simply or advanced game players can play with strategy and the two can be playing at the same time. This multi award winning games uses colors and shapes instead of letters or numbers so even non-readers can play. Essentially Qwirkle is scrabble meets dominos on steroids. I don't know how else to put it. We received the game as a gift and in turn have given the game as a gift numerous times over. Just over Easter weekend we had friends and family in for the whole weekend and a friend asks "can we play Qwirkle?". My daughter who is in second grade asks often when her dad and brother leave for BB practice "mom, do you want to play Qwirkle with me?". It encourages strategy and matching skills along with quick thinking. It also develops math, color and shape recognition, reasoning, and social skills. The competition can be played as to who scores the most points is the winner or as a self improvement moment: did I score better this game than last? Lastly it is cognitively challenging like checkers and chess....which require and help develop: planning, strategy, persistence, and critical thinking skills. Each time this game is played it is different because the outcomes rely on the luck of the draw which in turn changes how the game is built.

     A 'Must-Have' Family Game - Apr 02, 2010

My family and I often meet at family gatherings and play games. While we tend to try lots of new games, only a few of them have earned a place on our 'permanent game shelf'. Qwirkle quickly became one of our favorite games because it is easy to learn, easy to play....yet challenging because every game is different. My husband and I purchased multiple copies of this game to be given to several family units at our upcoming family reunion. I'm sure we will have a fun and boisterous "Qwirkle Tournament" involving all ages (4-99)!!! Even our youngest grandchildren (ages 4-9) quickly mastered basic moves and picked up 'higher strategy' thinking.....it's hard to find a game that is easy enough for the youngsters, yet appeals to adults, too!!

     I like it! - Mar 24, 2010

We got this game as a gift, and have enjoyed it. We were looking for more games that you could play with as few as 2 players. It is not complicated, which makes it a nice game to bring out for a fun game night - no long-winded, painful explanations. I also like that the tiles came in a bag. We threw away the box and just keep the small bag full of tiles and the instructions (I hate extra packaging)!

Quirkle is fun for all ages - Mar 24, 2010

Quirkle has been a lot of fun for us to play. We have played with people from 25 to 88 years old and it is a good time for everyone. It is a good thinking and strategy game that is dependent on skill and the luck of the draw. The rules are easy enough to learn and we would occasionaly catch each other trying to make illegal moves. The game keeps everyone engaged even when it is not their turn. The wooden pieces are durable and the bag is nice for storage and game play. We are a little concerned that with time the paint will rub off the tiles. Overall we totally recommend it.

perfect for all ages - Mar 19, 2010

Looked everywhere for this game after playing it with friends. Nobody stocked it after Christmas. All my grandkids 4 and up love it and fun for adults too. Ordered it 3 days before a birthday and it got here in time. Highly recommend. Educational too!

     Great game! - Mar 10, 2010

Received this game yesterday and played it last night at our ladies (all over 30) game night, everyone loved it! In fact one of the ladies called after she got home to ask me to order her one. Can't wait to play it with my family, I think my children will like it as well.

The game is a combo of luck (what tiles you pick from the bag) and strategy but mostly strategy. It's all how you play your tiles as to how many points you get so one has to think a bit which is a good thing.

I think this is a game we'll come back to time and again. If you are questioning as to whether or not to buy it go ahead you'll not be sorry.

good game to help with analytical thought - Feb 28, 2010

I first tried playing with my wife to see how it worked and my son watched. I played with him yesterday and he actually did better than my wife. I think it teaches him to look at things differently and to have patients. I just wish that the tiles were a little thinner so it did not take up too much space in the bag. it would also make the box lighter. It is a good tame though. I am glad that I purchased it.

     Beware: Addictive game! - Feb 21, 2010

We are hooked and so are our friends! Teaches strategy adjustment - no two opponents play the same. If you want to win, you will need to adjust your play to counter your opponents' strategies.

     Addictive Fun - Feb 12, 2010

This game is fun for all ages. No age is exempt, we had players as young as 6 and as old as 68 playing and they all have gotten as addicted as I am to this game. You just can't stop playing it.

     Soooo fun! - Feb 03, 2010

This game turned out to be fun for the whole family! It is a thinking/strategy game that has been fun for my 6 year old to my 52 year old husband. I thought it would just be a little kid game with colors & shapes, but you can really score some points with some strategy!

Really fun family game! - Feb 03, 2010

My niece is 6 and my son is 9. They both love it. My over 60 (yrs) parents love it. My grandmother even likes it!
It's a game I really enjoy playing with my son and husband.
We have gotten more use out of this game in a month than all of our other games in months.
It can be a quick, fun game, enjoyable for all ages.

     Game time! - Feb 03, 2010

I got this game to play with my 6 year old daughter. It's a lot of fun - we play it together and it's challenging - awesome!!

We love our Qwirkle game! - Feb 01, 2010

We enjoyed our Qwirkle so much that we purchased it for all 3 of our grown children for Christmas. We play 2 rounds of Qwirkle nearly every evening. It is challenging and so much fun! It is not as simple as the age level indicates.
