Best game in years! - Jul 29, 2010

A friend introduced me to Banagrams about a couple of years ago. I love it. Best part is that you can play for 10 minutes or all day. Really important to get a Scrabble Dictionary to have on hand.

     Bananagrams is fantastic! - Jul 25, 2010

My kids and I love to play this game! They are learning while playing as well! I would recommend this game to anyone -- it's easy to learn and lots of fun!

     Bananagams Review - Jul 23, 2010

Bananagrams was a great purchase!! Bought it as a gift and it has been very enjoyable! Very fun and makes you think. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys word games!

     This game sucks - Jul 15, 2010

This is the most boring game EVER. I wish I had read the reviews first, I wasted my money. No point value, no competition, you play alone. Hated it. Play Scrabble, Upwords.......both fun. Wish I could give it a negative rating. And yeah Midwest GUY, I know it's for more than one person, you totally missed the point. You don't play against someone. You do all the forming of words for yourself, can't even play off of someone's words. Boring.

     super bananagram - Jul 15, 2010

We travel on a 3 hour ferry ride. This game is very portable and fun for all ages.
I do not live in Forks but in Southeast Alaska.

more fun than Scrabble; less competitive - Jul 10, 2010

    Pros:
    small - easy to travel
    can talk while playing
    no elaborate scoring system
    learn new words from opponents
everyone plays at the same time; no taking turns
    Cons:
If you're competitive, be aware that the letters don't have individual scores. There is a winner per game and that's it.

     What a great purchase! - Jul 09, 2010

I am so glad to have accidentally discovered this game. It is well made and all ages are able to play together! Everyone that sees it wants it. Thanks I have purchase two so far and plan to get more as gifts.

Great casual word game! - Jun 30, 2010

I've been playing Scrabble for years, and just got a chance to try Bananagrams for the first time a few weeks ago. I really like it! With everyone trying to complete their own boards simultaneously, it's a very fast-paced, energetic game. Bananagrams works well with just a couple of people or a larger group. Since each round lasts just a couple of minutes, if someone wants to get a snack or go to the bathroom or something, they can just sit out a round and nobody else has to wait.

In some ways, the game is more accessible than Scrabble. A good vocabulary still helps a lot, as does a good familiarity with two-letter words, but knowledge of really esoteric long words isn't as important in Bananagrams as in Scrabble. They're two completely different games, and I still do enjoy Scrabble, but I'm definitely a Bananagrams fan now as well. There's a time and a place for both.

     Banana - what? - Jun 28, 2010

This game introduced itself to me when I had to take it away from one of my students. He was tossing a funny yellow bag in the air during class. I asked him to hand it over and his response was, "Okay, but it's educational." A banana educational, I thought, that's a good one. After the kids had left class, I opened the pouch and out spilled the lettered tiles. I was arranging them on my desk when the offending student walked back in to claim his game. He showed me how to play, and in those few minutes, I was hooked.

The "funny yellow bag" became a prize... that is, my students would get their work done quickly in order to play Bananagrams. Who would have thought that a clearly educational game would become a hot ticket at an alternative school - where kids are defiant to write, read or do math?

It wasn't long before we had to give the letters a bath; they were used inside, outside, anywhere we could find flat surfaces. Students (and teachers) found themselves checking dictionaries for words beginning with "J, Q, X, Z" We took turns creating rules - for example, words have to have a science theme, sports theme... you get the idea.

I was so thrilled with this game that I ordered two from Amazon.

It's wonderful fun to leave notes for my teenage son (who thinks I have "gone off the deep end") using Bananagrams tiles.

I wholeheartedly encourage you to purchase this game.. it's money well spent.

     Bananagrams great fun - Jun 28, 2010

Ordered three bananagrams games because it's so much fun and we wanted to give some away as gifts. All three arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The game is great for all ages. It's easy to transport so you can take it with you on trips, etc. It fits in your purse!

     A game for a wide range of ages - Jun 25, 2010

I played this game with kids ages 6 and 10 and with adults. Everyone enjoyed it.

     Bananagram for Mongo. - Jun 24, 2010

Bananagrams is fun, fast-paced crossword action! Tiles are sturdy and the cute banana bag is great for transportation, though its odd oblong beanbag dimensions mean its not-so-hot for stacking up with other boardgames in the closet. My minor gripes: Gameplay can become so frantic that it's difficult to tell how many tiles you need to pull, and you really need a dictionary nearby to call people on their "words." Not the most complex game, but doesn't try to be. Recommended.

Easy and fun even if you have Dyslexia and suck at spelling. - Jun 24, 2010

You can change the difficulty up or down by removing or adding the difficult letters, like X and Z for example.
    fun and fast paced.

Bananas make you smart! - Jun 24, 2010

This product came as quick as you can peel a banana! And it is fun, fun, fun!
Arrived in perfect condition (new) and was speedy too!
    Great product
    Great seller
    Great fun!

     I WAS ADDICTED! - Jun 16, 2010

So, I was at the beach with some friends when someone pulled out this game. We played into the night until we were delirious and spelling words like delirious with double Es. The next morning we woke up, had coffee and the tournament continued. It felt a little like addictive gambling except there was no one serving free drinks and there were windows in the room. Oh, we had a seven-year-old playing with us, too, and it didn't slow us down one bit!

     bananagrams - Jun 15, 2010

We are absolutely obsessed with this great game!! It is not possible to play just one round.. I got my nieces and friends and mom hooked on it as well!! Definitely a game for all ages, if you know how to spell!!

     Great Game! - Jun 08, 2010

This game is so much fun, and even kids of younger ages can play, if they know how to spell. My family, friends, and I could play it for hours.

Can be used for younger audience - May 22, 2010

I bought the game for my 3 kids - 5 year old twins and a 2 ½ year old. I use the letters to teach them how words and sentences are put together. In addition, we've devised another game - one child would pull a tile and describe it to everyone; for example, "Something red or yellow or green, that's tasty and grows on trees, starts with "A"". Other two kids have to guess what it is. Who guesses it correctly first receives the tile. At the end of the game, child with the highest number of tiles wins. It also makes for a perfect "on the go" game too.

Tiles are also of very high quality and I'm sure the game will be played with proper rules when kids grow up a bit.

     we love bananagrams - May 16, 2010

Bananagrams is as fun for adults as it is for kids. I love that a wide variety of age groups can play together. It is a fun and easily portable game to play just about anywhere you can find a table. Easy to set up, play with multiple players or even solo. What a fun game with a fun little package!

     It's fun anywhere - May 14, 2010

First saw Bananagrams at the airport. Two women were playing it while waiting for their plane. You play separately, making your own crossword puzzle, but you are also playing together. If you love word games, like I do, this is a great game.Bananagrams

Gone bananas over bananagrams - May 14, 2010

As an activity professional, this Bananagrams game has really gotten my residents involved and excited about making their own crosswords. They like that it can be played on any table and that there are no point scores (like Scrabble). More can play at the same time. Great Fun!

     Fabulous! - May 11, 2010

This game really brings the whole family together - and gets everyone involved, from age 10 -100, in our house, Grandma plays with us grandkids, and we all have a great time!

     Great Overall Game - May 09, 2010

Not a word game player but played on vacation with friends and got hooked big time. Loads of fun and the competition to spell words made the game even more challenging. Recommended for all ages, as I had teenager hooked on it. Ended up buying two, one for home and one to travel with
